1951 Ford Fordor Custom
The car isn't a showroom quality ready for the Barrett-Jackson Auctions or a trophy winner, ut it is a great running Flathead with a beautiful brand new interior, nd very good paint with a few flaws
Fordomatic Three Speed.. . . . . for those like myself who hate to shift. A C-4 or AOD will bolt up to this engine if you so choose In the future. Beautiful Blue paint with a few damaged areas (5%) Painted on 2003. See photos. Most major chrome (bumpers, tc.) in great shape. Others partsneed re-chroming, ut all there. See photos 8BA Flathead 100 hp w/ 12v Alternator and Starter. The final and updated Flathead made. New Aluminum Radiator w/ Elec Fan. Two new high flow water pumps. New Mallory Electronic Ignition New Flame Thrower Coil, lugs, ires. New Battery. Rebuilt EBA Carb. Oil Pan removed and (engine sludge) cleaned. New Exhaust with a beautiful sounding Glasspack. New 17 gal. Fuel Tank. The new sending unit is notworking. I'm going to see if Speedway will send me a new one without first removing this one. Beautiful new Interior and Dash. Dome lights work. Excellent glass all around. Windshield has a ping or two that's been repaired. New handles and window cranks in front seat. New window cranks in rear seat. Drives side vent has some discoloration around edges and could use new gasket. Are original. New gasket in Rear Window and I believe the Front also. Heater/Defrost/Wipers/Turn Signals works.Speedometer appears to be accurate within a mile or two at highway speeds. Radio isn't hooked up as far as I can tell. It doesn't light up, o I don't know if it works. Same with clock. I'm not sure if the 12v./ 6v. reducer was ever installed when the 12v. alternator was put on. The gauges are all there, ut like the radio and clock, don't know if they were re-hooked up at the 12v conversion. Excellent rubber with original hub caps. While the tread is good, 've not sure of the age of the tires. Solid Straight nearly rust free body. Those who have worked on this car say's that it is structurally as sound as anything they've seen for a car this age. And, hat the 44k miles on speedo is more than likely correct. Previous owner (s) installed new fuel pump, aster cyl. rebuilt: transmission serviced, nd overhauled engine; Main Bearings and Rings, od Bearings, ne valve replaced. This car will run smooth and cool all day at Interstate speeds. I cruise at 70mph but I've taken it up to the low 80's.Keep in mind that these cars were made before Power Steering and Power Brakes. All upgrades are available at recycle yards or the major Vintage Car Parts Stores, ac's/Speedway, tc, ut it doesn't steer and stop like a modern car. I'm saying this in honesty for the younger folks who've never driven a Vintage Auto. It's not usually possible on national auctions like this to test drive a vehicle before bidding or buying due to distance of bidders, ut I'm trying to describe the car as honestly as possible. I've been on eBay for almost 16 years, elling everything from coins to motorcycles and have a 100% Favorable Feedback. The car will be in Freeburg Illinois, 0 minutes east of St. Louis on Hwy IL 15, nd available for anyone who wishes to come and take a look and drive the car before bidding. I may be able to attach a short video of the engine running on anyone sending me an email.Don
