Restored 1978 Crew Cab Camper Special Custom

Clean second owner truck. 99,000 original miles. I purchased this truck from the original owners son in Washington.

This truck went thru a major remodel approx. 3 years ago. The 460 and auto transmission were replaced with a 7.3 IDI diesel and a 5 speed manual transmission. The cab and bed were removed and frame was cleaned and painted.Frame has added cross members and stock mounting brackets for engine, rans, nd transfer case.The interior floor was spray lined and a one piece plastic floor mat was installed. The seats, eadliner and visors were already redone with a brownvelour fabric and cleaned up nice. All the windows and dash was removed for interior paint. Exterior was prepped and painted with all trim removed and bed off. Tailgate works as it should. Bed has a spray on bed liner and bed and wheel wells are in excellent shape. Solid axel front end with disk brakes.

This truck is a clean well maintained truck and the goal was to have a 1978 crew cab diesel hi boythat would be what Ford would have made in 1978.

Truck comes with a new Air conditioning unit made for this truck. It also comes with a 7.3 Powerstroke engine with wiring harness and Bully dog chip system. It comes with paperwork, ictures of the restoration, tock road reflectors, pare tire lock, nd original build sheet.

I use this truck on the weekends to tow a 36 ft travel trailer and for projects around the farm. I regularly use this truck for hauling materials and firewood. With that and the restoration being almost 3 years old there are some small scratches and chips. If you are looking for a trailer princess, his is not the truck for you! It is a clean classic and I get compliments wherever I go.

Issues:

There are several bubbles starting to grow at the corners of the back doors and at the top of the piller posts on the roof.

There is only one fuel cell as the transfer case sits where the stock front fuel cell was.

Thanks for all the interest. Here are some more pictures that everyone is asking for. For clarification the truck has a IDI installed and comes with a separate 2nd engine (7.3 powerstroke) that is not installed.
