One Family Owned for 40yrs. Southern Truck and Garaged it's entire life! This truck was built in Canada, SO was Memphis, N and it was sold new in Meridian, S. The original owner passed away in Birmingham Hospital with heart problems and the owner of 40yrs. bought it from his widow in 1975 where it stayed in his family until this year. This is not a "restored" truck, would call it a "kept" truck as it was kept in running, riving condition it's entire life. With only 82K miles, he original 360FE engine block has never been into nor "rebuilt" per PO of 40yrs. Since it is 47yrs. old, he title showsthe mileage as "exempt from disclosure" as most states do. This truck still carries it's original badges, teering wheel with the original horn ring and YES, t works which is rare! You can see in the pics the condition of the original seat. No it has not been completely recovered, hat is the original seat. I can find one piece of vinyl on the drivers side that appears to be "softer" than the rest of the seat so that one piece may have been changed at some point. The dash has ZERO cracks. It does have one place (a ring) where it appears someone may have got into the cab with a hot cup of coffee and set it on the dash (trucks didn't have cup holders in '68--we had to sit stuff on the dash). The original door panels are still in very good condition to be 47yrs. old as is the rest of the interior. The vent windows still open and close properly and stay in whatever position you put them in even athighway speeds. It still retains it's original AM radio and speaker and YES, hey work fine! The switch for the cargo light still lights red while on to let you know that you left it on if you are going down the highway and forgot to turn it off. I don't smoke, ut I use the cigarette lighter receptacle to charge my phone, ut the lighter itself will not get hot. If you smoke and want this fixed, t will probably cost you $10-$15. This truck has Factory Tinted Glass--RARE in 1968!This Ranger still retains someevidence of the Factory Original Red Oxide Primer on the undercarriage which is amazing considering the amount of gravel roads Mississippi still had in the '60s. The PO did replace the carpetsometime in the recent past because it's too clean to be original. If you are looking for original (other than the period correct Cragar wheels, repaint and bed linedbya PO) Ford F100 Ranger to drive today and enjoy, r restore to a $20-25K truck, ou will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition that hasn't been gone thru, ut up, ngine changed out, rebuilt,or fully restored and out of a working man's price range.New items per PO and myself in recent months/years:Water Pump and thermostat, attery cables, olenoid to starter cable, eater hoses, adiator hoses, ires (look new, robably have less than 5K miles on them), ubber fuel line hoses, ear end vent hose, uel filler grommet, lternator, olenoid, oltage regulator, uel pump and exhaust system (exhaust sounds great, ot stock, ot loud, ice low rumble)Hagerty's average value on these truck is $11,047. In my opinion, his truck is above average, ut your opinion is what counts here.Hagerty's #2 condition is $18,000 and #3 condition is $12,000. I think this truck is somewhere between a #2 and #3 truck, n other words, f you can see and item that is#3 condition, ou will also findan item that is a #2 condition item.As with any 47 year old vehicle, here is no warranty of any kind associated with this truck. If you are bidding on this Ranger, lease make sure you have it cleared with your Banker, inance Company and/or your Wife ifANY of those are necessary,BEFORE bidding.
