1973 Ford Mustang Convertible

I purchased this car recently from a local Texas owner selling it to help finance a home purchase. He put quite a bit of time, oney,and work into this Mustang. In the last 2 years the car has had the paint re-done, nterior replaced, onvertible top replaced, he convertible top cylinders replaced, ires replaced, ngine and transmission rebuilt, nd much more. This car has its original VIN stamped 302 engine that has a few upgrades such as a 4bbl. carburetor and mild cam, ut doesn't make a lot of power. This is a cruiser and sounds great. The air conditioning compressor has been rebuilt as well and converted to 134a, lows cold. This car also has rare factory power windows and deluxe interior. Marti Report documented, his car sold new at Thompson-Fauskee Ford dealership on Hitchcock Wayin Santa Barbara, alifornia, hich is amazingly still in business by the way. It is 1 of 500 built in Blue Glow metallic with white vinyl interior. The car was built on October 30th, 972, eleased on October 31st and sold on November 16th, 972. According to the previous 2 owners, his car's mileage of just over 68,000 is original and we believe it. The odometer works.

The paint and body show well with a few chip touch-ups. The right lower quarter panel was replaced with a steel patch, ell done, therwise original Ford steel body panels on this California car. The doors, ood, enders, nd trunk lid align up straight. This is a base/clearcoat finish.

1973 would bring the color-keyed urethane bumper to the Mustang and eliminate the front chrome bumper.

The convertible top was replaced along with both convertible top cylinders and lines. It works excellent up and down. We also have a new convertible top boot.

All of the power windows work

The interior is in excellent condition. The upholstery is correct, eplaced front to back with white clarion knit vinyl, orrect for this Mustang. The rubber door seals have been replaced and the door undersides are in excellent condition as are the rocker panels.

The dash displays all functional gauges. The center console clock does not work. The air conditioning blows cold and the AM 8 track stereo works. The radio antenna was just replaced.

Under the hood is the VIN number verified (stamped) original 302 engine. This powerplant was rebuilt during the restoration and is dry underneath. A Holley 4bbl. carburetor has been added along with a mild performance cam. The drivetrain has some rumble/vibration but drives down the road straight with OK power. Has aftermarket dual exhaust & mufflers which are pretty loud. I've logged a few hundred miles and enjoyed cruising in it 55 to 75mph. Car has a GREAT performance idle to it and is reliable to start every day. The engine runs cool at idle and speed, as an aftermarket temperature gauge. Be sure to play the video. The engine compartment shows very well. The air conditioning compressor was rebuilt. The factory breather assembly has been chromed and is complete with its cold air ducting and exhaust pieces. The firewall, nner fenders, nd core support sheetmetal is original and intact. The battery tray is also original and intact.

Inner quarter panels are solid

The undercarriage features a replaced fuel tank along with professionally replaced front and rear floor pans. The frame rails are original and in great shape as are the torque boxes. Please look closely through the detailed photos and photo slideshow. The exhaust system has also been replaced.
