1936 Ford Slantback Fordor-No Reserve
Offered for sale is my 1936 Ford Slantback Fordor. This car was a barn find I purchased from a man who had owned the car since the 1970s. My plan was to get the car back on the road and drive it as is but I haven't been able to find the time to get it going and I'm not sure when I will. Rather than just leaving the Ford to sit in my garage it is now up for sale.
Per the previous owner, he car had quite a bit of work done on it in 1995 by a vintage Ford specialist. As I understand, he person working on the car fell ill before the headliner/door panels could be installed and before the new front windows (front windows, ll metal window surrounds and "new" headliner are included with the car) could be reinstalled. This is the last time the car was driven, t was parked in the garage where I bought the car from at that point, ut was parked in good running and driving condition and has been garaged inside ever since.
The engine is a 1949 Mercury flathead 8CM which currently does not turn. I believe when I bought it the engine was turning by hand but I can't remember for sure at this point. Either way, his car has been stored inside since it was last ran and I would think soaking it with Marvel Mystery Oil should free it (I have not taken any steps to free engine). Transmission moves in an out of gear easily. Mechanical brakes stop car when depressed. The car rolls freely and easily and tires hold air without issue for loading/transport. New 6 volt battery is included with sale (buying the battery is as far as I got towards making the car run).
I've included over 180 pictures of the car which detail and explain the condition of the car more thoroughly and accurately than I could possibly hope to.
180 pictures of this car can be found at the following link---

I'm offering the car at No Reserve to let the market decide what this solid old Ford is worth. Please only bid if you are serious about completing the transaction. I am serious about finding this car a new owner without any games or hassle. 1936 Ford will be sold with a Maine registration in my name and a bill of sale which will allow you to register the car in your state. Any questions at all please ask before bidding, 'm happy to take additional pictures or answer any questions.I'm an honest seller, nspection by you or your mechanic before purchase is welcomed and encouraged.
I've sold several cars on ebay with happy buyers and expect the next owner of this car will be pleased with this unique old Ford. Having said that car is sold as is/where is with no warranty expressed or implied because of the age and the general nature of older vehicles. Once the auction ends the high bidder owns it. Shipping arrangements are up to you but vehicle must be paid in full within 3 days of auction end. Please make sure your shipper is aware of the fact the car does not run. I can store it inside for two weeks after auction end, fter that it will have to be kept outside if you need more time to pick the car up. Your bid on this auction will serve as acknowledgement of and agreement to these terms. Thanks and happy bidding.
