Beautiful and turn key 1949 Ford F1 Shortbed Pickup Truck! Low miles on a freshly rebuilt Chevy small block V8 and 700R4 transmission! Loaded down with a Nova sub frame, power steering, ower brakes, ftermarket exhaust, ilt column, & custom wheels! Interested in a "Buy It Now"? Give me a call and I will gladly discuss my asking price as well as my reserve (816) 308-0351. This Ford has been through an extensive amount of work and is completely turn key. The previous owner took this Truck down to nothing and decided that this F1 was deserving of a full "no expense spared" restoration. His goal was to build something that drove and handled well while maintaining that beautiful and sleek look that Ford was able to deliver after World War II. "There's a Ford in your future". Ford sales slogan from 1949. A very bold and assertive statement which in my opinion, peaks loudly as to how aggressive Ford was about conquering the automotive market. Ford was destined to lead the charge of innovation and 1949 was ripe for the taking. These F1's only further solidified Fords destiny to maintain being an American household name. Henry Ford had no reservations about heading the charge, eading the American Farmer as well as the future of American agriculture in to a new age of dominance. The body of this Pickup is completely solid and rust free. As you will see it has been painted in a beautiful blue. In person, t looks very close to a "Marina" blue. The paint work shines up beautifully. When cruising down the street it is nearly impossible to avoid a flood of thumbs up. In my opinion, he paint work is not trailer queen quality but it is not far behind. Someone who knows what they are doing definitely painted the Truck. It does have a few small dings and could use a good detailing as there is still some rubbing compound in areas. All of the chrome and stainless shine up exceptionally well. All of the glass through out the F1 is in good shape. The wheels and tires that are on the Truck are brand new with less then a thousand miles on them. The entire drive train within this Ford was completely gone through and is supposed to have under a thousand miles on it. It is powered by a completely rebuilt Chevy small block V8. The motor itself was built to stock standards. It is not radical and is perfect for cruising. It does not smoke nor burn an excess amount of fluid. It fires up every time and it sounds phenomenal through the custom exhaust system. The entire exhaust system is brand new and it is hooked up to what appear to be aluminized headers (they look pretty costly). The 700R4 transmission is in excellent working order. It shifts through its gears with out issue. The power steering setup on the Truck works exceptionally well as does the power brake system. The Ford sits on a Nova subframe as well as a Chevrolet ten bolt rear end. All of which was installed professionally. The interior within the F1 is in good shape. As you will see, t needs nothing but perhaps some cosmetic updates. I personally do not care much for the steering wheel and should we keep the F1, hat will be the first thing we change. The tilt column within the F1 makes its easy for any person to fit comfortably within the Pickup. Want to see this Truck in your garage?
