Up for auction is this 1951 Ford 4 Door Sedan PROJECT CAR that has been extensively modified into a truly "Kustom" custom hot rod design. Car has a valid and clear California registration and is currently in the "non-op" status. This car is all steel! Original car was completely disassembled and most all steel parts were completely dipped and professionally stripped to bare metal (final step of stripping included treatment to prevent rusting). Exterior of car has been primed with "direct to metal" urethane primer. No engine, o tranny and no front fenders/grille/hood.
METAL WORK COMPLETED: The roof has been chopped 3 to 4". Driver's side door window opening is 9-3/4". Rear doors have been suicided (see photo of hinge work). Front doors have stock door opening mechanism and rear doors have "bear claw" catch and post. Trunk repairs and rust repair completed. Significant rust repair is still needed. EXTERIOR STAINLESS AND WIND WINGS: Extensive modifications to stainless window trim have been completed. Wind wings, ront and rear, ave been cut down to window opening size.
ORIGINAL PARTS: Not shown are the original seats and a "donor" floor pan which has been sandblasted to bare steel. There are parts available to successsful/winning bid for purchase separate from this auction.
THERE ARE NO COIL SPRINGS OR SPINDLES IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION. Drop spindle kit available for purchase separately to successful bidder.
