The late-1927 introduction of the Ford Model A was a long-awaited event, ith extensive pre-launch advertising and interviews with Henry Ford. Indeed, ord perfected the art of effective product placement in one of the most successful new car launches in automotive history. On April 25, 929 the handsome new Model 150-A Station Wagon was added to the lineup, nd it holds the distinction of being the first vehicle of its kind to be made available by a primary manufacturer.

While the new Station Wagon was still linked in the public eye to Ford’s commercial vehicle line, he vehicle shared most of its basic components and front bodywork with the regular passenger car line. The distinctive wooden bodies were assembled by both Murray and Baker-Raulang using maple with birch paneling. The 150-A Station Wagon started a trend of stylish utility that continues to this day.

As far as we can determine, his was an original 1929 woody wagon when construction started. This street rod is all steel except for the fiberglass fenders.The wood body is all hand built by the previous owner and looks so natural, ou would think it came from the factory that way. It has an awesome bit of patina that is a big part of a Woody's appeal, ut none of it is deteriorated or damaged, o no worries about deferred maintenance.Original details like the radiator shell (with functioning Boyce Moto-Meter), wo-tier bumpers, nd aluminum step plates on the running boards give it a very authentic look.

The Ford has a brand new three piece hood, ll hardware latches, rop, nd a new Painless Wiring Harness.The engine is a Buick V6 with a Offenhauser intake and Edelbrock carburetor, M Turbo 350 automatic, alker custom radiator, lectric cooling fan,inside the new radiator shell, nd a 16 gallonPoly Fuel Tank. The engine compartment is extremely clean and has been very nicely detailed.The rear suspension has a 10 Bolt GM with coil springs and shocks. The front suspension is a Mustang II with power rack-and-pinion steering, wheel drum brakes, ustom wire wheelswith correct “Ford” stamped chrome center caps and silver lug nuts, nd new radial 285x70 rear tires and 185x70 front tires for an awesome stance. The paintwork is very nice, s are the chrome, tainless, heels and glass.The Woody has approximately 2000 miles since the new professional build.interior is fun for two with a custom front bench seat with wood steering wheel, ilt steering column, ll new custom Auto Meter gauges, nd extra sound and heat shielding.Other interior additions include AM/FM radio and a roll out front windshield. The cargo area has all beautiful finished wood that includes the headliner.

The retro Woody was built to drive coast to coast, t looks great, uns superbly, nd presents extremely well. The paintwork is very nice, s are the chrome, tainless, heels and glass.The interior is also very nice to include the upholstery, oor panels, ash, arpets, nstruments and switches.
