Car description

This is a very attractive Mustang that also is dependable, omfortable and safe. We purchased the car almost two years ago for my wife, nd I went through the car from one end to the other to make sure it would be a trouble free vehicle for her. We found the car inArizona where it was owned by awidowerafter the death of her husband. Unfortunately it spent most of the time in an indoor storage facility. Her friend's husband took care of the car for her, nd ultimately handled the sale of the car to us. Before being bought and moved to Arizona it was totally restored as a family project in California where the car was purchased and driven until the restoration. The car came with records, eceipts and pictures proving the work that was done. During the restoration the body wasprepped and painted to the color you seein the pictures, nd a new pony interior was purchased and installed. The engine and transmission were rebuilt and all new suspension parts were installed as factory original. They added larger wheels ( 15 inch) and tires toaccommodate front disk brakes. All lines and hoses were also replaced during the restoration. The car was built in San Jose California, with a C code 289 and a C4 automatic transmission and was built December 10, 965. The smog bracket is still on the block but not the smog pump. During the engine rebuild the valve covers and air cleaner were replaced. Also the HiPo exhaust manifolds were purchased and installed. The paint color is the original color. After we purchased the car I replaced much of the hoses and all of the belts from spending so much time in storage and not used regularly. I also replaced the tires, uel pump, ebuilt the carb, nd replaced the starter. I also installed a shoulder/lap belt for additionalsafety. We put a trunk carpet kit in the car simply for looks and to keep things from rattling around and making noise. After we started driving the car, noticed that the transmission's passing gear would not engage so I took it to a local transmission guy who had worked on cars like the Mustang when they were new. There was a linkage issue that costs $80.00 to fix and now it works just fine. I also have a few extra parts that will go with the car. The car shows just over 21,000 miles so I assume it has been over once. I also have manuals and other books used during the restoration and a few others that I bought for general reference. We are selling the car because we have recently completed a 1970 Olds 442 W30 and at my age I don't need two cars to get ready for car shows, nd we can only drive one at a time. It is a very nice honest car that can be enjoyed without constant tinkering. If we were going to keep the car I would replace the vent window rubber gaskets on both sides. They make just enough wind noise tofrustrate me. I don't like rattles, reaks, ops or anything else that is annoying, ut that is the only item left to address. I would be happy toanswer any questions you may have about the car. I also have the restoration book and various manuals.
