This is one special very rare 1970 Ford Mustang GT 500 Shelby convertible. It's actually a 1969 model that was the only vehicle model that was ever re badged as a 1970 model and ok'd by the manufacturer and the government. It has a 1970 VIN tag issued by Ford. This car is just about flawless, he paint is remarkable and professionally done some time ago and still shows excellent because it's always been garaged. This car was in the Imperial Palace Museum in Los Vegas when purchased by the present owner that is a friend of mine. It would not run when he purchased it, nd he got it running and rebuilt the engine using original parts. All the hoses and belts have the correct part numbers, nd it looks as if it was just rolled off the assembly line. This car is really an amazing example of what these cars were when Carroll Shelby modified them to his specifications. This is an especially rare car, helby Automotive only produced 335 GT 500 Convertibles for the combined 1969-1970 production run. Of those, 46 were 1969 models, nd only 89 were 1970 models which makes this one very rare.
