Car description |
---|
We built this car in 2009-2010 Went to Bonneville and only got to make one pass due to engine troubles.
The car was one of three cars to pass tech that year without needing any changes.
Original '23 Model T body.
NOS steel turtle deck.
This is definitely a "high end" car with many CNC made parts.
Every edge of every bracket was hand filed and polished.
One-off carbon fiber seat with back bone made to NASCAR seat specs. (supports shoulders)
Single bend Bird cage. Fits 6' tall 225lb driver. Custom '32 rails made from 2 x 5 square tube 3/16 steel floor/belly pan exceeds SCTA requirements. All TIG welded. Will certify to over 200mph. Have log book with initial inspection from 2010. 105" wheel base could be lengthened. Good for smaller engine classes. Mid plate for SBC. Trans mount for Muncie four speed. When the tech inspectors certified this car, hey said it was the nicest bolt in roll cage they had ever seen!
Brand new quick change rear end.
The car has been sitting for five years in my garage.
No Engine or Transmission. Was set up for a Model B Four cyl and Muncie Four Speed. Will accept a SBC, r almost any other engine with some simple mounts.
YOU CANNOT BUILD THIS CAR FOR HALF OF THE ASKING PRICE.
Hundreds of man hours over two years.
Built with the help and consultation of many SCTA veterans, rofessional machinists and fabricators.
Major help from Ron Jolliffe from design through tech inspection.
This car would be perfect for a few guys who want to chip in, uy it and go Land Speed Racing, ile Racing or Drag Racing. Will Cert to 8.50 as a drag car (but would need a 1/4 mile geared rear end to handle slicks). You could also un-bolt the cage and make it a bitchen street car!
