Car description

Affordable, nteresting cars are still out there, o if you're a car guy with a small budget, his 1967 Ford Falcon might just be the solution. It's got a thrifty six-cylinder engine, clean, ice paint job, nd a very clean original interior, ll of which add up to a fun car that doesn't cost much at all. Someone spent money all out of proportion to the car's sticker price on the paint job, ecause it's simply gorgeous. The clean Falcon sheetmetal has a conservative look and the icy blue paint looks very appropriate on the '60s bodywork. And with all the Mustangs running around, t's refreshing to see a Falcon of this vintage; honestly, hen was the last time you saw one? The two-stage urethane shines up brilliantly, he panel gaps are shockingly good, nd the ducktail spoiler out back gives it a sporty "Mad Max" look that works very well. Thanks to living all its life in Texas the sheetmetal is exceptionally clean and it doesn't look to have ever been in an accident. A contrasting stripe runs along the flanks highlights the interesting fender "vents" and the traditional Ford taillights give it an instantly-identifiable look. Nice chrome bumpers are neatly integrated into the design and the grill is in great shape. As far as we can tell, he interior is completely original, nd with that in mind it's in awesome condition. Sure, here are a few signs of age but thanks to living under clear vinyl seat covers for almost the entirety of their lives, he seats are in great shape. The door panels are very good and the carpets are brand new, ince the car originally came with rubber mats. Factory gauges show clean markings and bright needles and the factory radio has been replaced by an AM/FM/cassette head unit that sounds decent even today. And yes, hat dealer-installed under-dash A/C unit is still fully functional and still uses good old R12 refrigerant inside. The trunk is also quite original and uses a proper plaid mat and an original-style spare tire and jack assembly. With just over 68,000 original miles, he 170 cubic inch inline-six has never been opened and still runs superbly. It's pretty original under the hood, ut it's clean and shows plenty of signs of proper maintenance over the years. That's factory-applied Ford Blue paint still clinging to the block and air cleaner, nd the sturdy little six runs silky smooth thanks to seven main bearings. The A/C compressor dominates the engine bay but service access is great and thanks to a flyweight cub weight, hings like power steering and power brakes aren't really needed here. The C4 3-speed automatic transmission clicks through the gears easily and the single exhaust has a nice 6-cylinder bark. You can see plenty of evidence of how clean this car really is underneath, here the floors are in amazing condition and the low mileage means that the suspension feels tight and buttoned-down, ot loose and flabby. New aluminum wheels add a period performance look and carry fat 225/60/15 performance radials that have about 1500 miles on them. Overlooked and under-appreciated, his Falcon is a fun, nusual choice that makes a lot of sense as an entry-level collector car. Call today!
