Car description

You are bidding on a 1953 Ford Country Squire "Woody" 9 passenger station wagon. This is the last year of real wood on a Ford wagon. My son and I have rebuilt most of this vehicle over the past few years. We hand made all the wood, ts all new, ncluding all the chrome cap fasteners and looks very nice. We hand painted the wood grain sections inside the wood areas then clear coated the panels, hey also look very nice. When we bought the wagon we were told that the motor was rebuilt but we didn't receive any receipts. However, he motor runs like a little top. Starts right up with a new 6 volt battery and just purs. The clutch is average for an old car, he transmission is the same but shifts into all the gears without any issues. It has the electric overdrive 3 speed unit which works very well with a dash mounted switch that we installed. The car was repainted before we got it and the paint is also about average. We resprayed the roof white. The chrome on the car is also very solid as you can see from the pics. The interior on the car was all done professionally at a local shop here in Sacramento and looks amazing in person. The third seat is set solid in the up position and does not fold down. The middle seat does as you can see from the pics. It has new brakes all the way around from wheel cylinders, hoes, ubber lines and master, new wide white walls, new hub caps and beauty rings, new shocks, new suspension components in the front end, new fuel line, new fuel pump, ebuilt generator, ebuilt carb, new plugs, new battery and cables, new rubber pedal, new chrome emblems in doors and tail gate, ebuilt window mechanics in all door, lass is original, indows roll up and down fine, ear glass slides open. There is good wiring throughout the car and not all hacked up. The radio doesn't work, either does the gas gauge or the clock. Very solid car with no known rust areas to me. Solid floors, rame, tc. Headlights works as do the dash lights, acuum wipers, horn, ignals work when they want, ome lights, eater, as do the brake lights. This is not a $100,000 show car. It has a few scratches here and there in the paint, he engine bay is nice but not show finish, he chrome is nice, ot brand new. Turn the key and fire this old bad boy up and really take a trip down memory lane. Flathead really runs nice, oesn't have any over heating issues, lide the tranny into overdrive and just cruise. We have taken many trips to the Woody shows and car shows, ever had any issues with anything other attention. You don't see many of the 53's at any of the shows so its nice to have something a little different. Not sure why the color of the car didn't really come out that good in my pics. It is a teal or aqua color, also included in the listing some pics that were done by a local professional for his book and a nice video of the car starting. This really just a nice old wagon that runs, rives and looks very presentable anywhere it goes. Car is selling as is where is, here are no warranties implied expressed or given. Please be ready to pay for and pick up withing 2 weeks of auction close. I have a clean and clear California title in my name, urrect lic tags. Please remember this is a 1953 vehicle. Just like with any old car there are going to be some things that will need attention after you buy it, on't expect that you are buying something new that won't ever require a little this or that, ts just the nature of the beast. Speedometer and odometer work, iles shows 16,000 but it is a 5 digit unit, rue miles are unknown to me. Thanks for looking and email for more information and or with questions. Local inspection encouraged, othing to hide, un old car! Thanks for looking and good luck!
