Car description

Going out of business after 25 years and selling our trucks!

This truck was custom built in 2012. The 1977 F350 was a farm truck from southern Indiana (very little snow down there). When we bought it, t had the factory 12' flatbed still on it. We sold that and installed the truck body equipment you see now. It has been one of our most versatile trucks.

Saddle tool box was new when installed, nd the dump bed like new. It has a 5 ton electric/hydraulic hoist, nd a subframe under the bed, o the whole one-piece unit can be easily moved from one truck to another. Same with the tool box. Those two items alone cost almost $5000 new. There is not rust on either, ther than some minor surface rust here and there. Pump and cylinder are still like new with no leaks. Box has two shelves, nd strong door locking system with keys. It is 94" wide; bed is about 87" wide by 9' long. Treated deck and (removable) sideboards, nd outer tie-down rail.

Tires are very good, ith the fronts in nearly-new condition. Backs are 50%. All are load range E; 16" upgrade.

Truck has 2" class V receiver hitch with four- and seven-prong hookup, nd electric trailer brake controller in cab. Overload springs were replaced before we bought it, nd suspension is very strong.

Body is in very good shape, nd may be of interest to rebuilders. Pictures show the details, nd any dark areas you see would only be where the paint has been worn (like on the rockers). There is some minimal rust-through on the driver's floorboard, ut very fixable. There is a dent in the door also. Seat is worn on driver's side (surprise). Gauges all work, ut a couple of dash lights are out. Heater works well, ut fan makes some noise (old age, ike me).

The truck has a 351M engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Know right away that the engine is pretty tired and has some blow-by. It runs but fouls the plugs; a hotter set of plugs might buy some more time. Just don't plan on driving it home if you live a ways away. It does start right up and still pulls a load, nd can be easily loaded on a trailer for towing.

As I said, his was one of our main workhorses, nd it has been kept in good repair. Kingpins have been replaced, rakes are good (just did the fronts), nd the clutch is good. This truck will haul more than you can put in it, nd has no problem dumping that load either.

We contemplated just dropping a rebuilt engine in this truck, nd would if we were staying in business. It is a money-maker and can get in places where a bigger truck can't. If you are old-school like me, ou know what this truck can do. Simplicity and strength!

Reserve is set below the cost of the tool box and dump assembly, f that helps you any.

You are welcome to inspect the vehicle before buying. This vehicle is being sold as is, here is. I can help with loading to the degree I am able. I am not available on saturdays for finalizing the sale or loading.

A deposit of $150 is required within 24 hours of sale, r you may come in person in that time-frame. The deposit covers the cost of selling on Ebay and is non-refundable. Don't worry: I won't make you pay the balance if after looking at it you decide you don't want it. But you do have to cover the expense of the completed auction ($150).

Note: if you have zero feedback history (meaning a "0" behind your user name), ou need to contact me before bidding or I will have to cancel your bid.

If you see a bidder with a zero feedback still bidding, e (or she) has contacted me and has been ok'd to bid. This is an honest sale with no funny-business.
