Before I bought the car the engine was rebuilt with hard valves and seats to accommodate modern fuels. It does not smoke from either the tailpipes or crankcase breather tube. The stock solid lifter engine runs very quiet and smooth and is very torquey. The entire front end was rebuilt and drives like it should, ithout looseness or "wandering". The 4 barrel
carburetor was replaced with a modern, lectric choke Holley.
