Car description

1939 Ford Deluxe 2 door Sedan. This Car was built in the early 90's with the RestoRod/ Street Rod Style. Car was built to be a great driver while retaining the original details of the 39' Ford. The builders started out with a very solid example of a Deluxe 2 door sedan.

The Body of this car is very presentable and still shows well but has the typical imperfections of a Driver. The Owner of this car believes that the paint on the Hood, ecklid, nd top is original. The Paint still shines well but has some patina from years of polishing and use. This past winter the car was Pinstriped to match the interior.

All of the Factory Deluxe Trim isin very good condition. One of the Running boards is a Drake Replacement and one is the Original. The Original Decklid has the original License Plate Bracket and Trunk Handle. The Decklid has Drake Hydraulic shocks that need to be replaced as does the trunk seal. The Factory Cowl Vent works and has had a new seal installed this summer.

The Interior is has the original front split bench seat and rear seat that was upholstered in Red Pleated Vinyl. The carpet is Red and the trunk is upholstered to match. This interior is tasteful and timeless. The Dash and trim has some of the original wood grain finish. The owner removed the aftermarketA/C so there is arectangular hole in the dash where the AC controls were.

The Frame is Original 39' Ford and has a Chassis Engineering Split Wishbone Kit in the Front with a DroppedMagnum Axle, nd reversed eye spring. Car has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. Rear Axle is a 9" Ford with a New Moser 3:00 Carrier. The rear suspension is Posie Parallel Leafs with Tube Shocks on all four corners.

The Engine is a Stock 305 Chevrolet with cast iron exhaust manifolds and a stock 4 barrel intake with a rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor. Transmission is a Turbo 350 with a Lokar 23" shifter. The ignition is Pertronix in a stock GM Distributor and the Cooling System uses a BeCool radiator and an Edelbrock victor Jr. aluminum water pump, nd an Electric Fan.

A new Painless Performance Wiring Harness was installed this past winter. The car has a CD Player, ruise Control and a GM Column. The car uses Factory gauges and some aftermarket. Dome and Courtesy Lights work as does the original clock.

The Glass in the car is in decent shapebut the side glass has some places that are splitting where it is laminated.

The Owner just installed new15" Crager Wheels and the Tires have approx. 7000 miles on them. The Tires are165/15's up front and 265/70-15's on the rear. This car was Driven to and fromBonneville Speed Week in 2013 from Oak Ridge TN. Picture of car on the salt has Steel Wheels that are no longer with the car.

I am listing this car for a friend so PLEASE CALL Brian Downard 865-356-3902 for more info.
