Car description

I took on this project and have very quickly realized Im in over my head.

1965 Mustang C Code Coupe Project.

Cars story as I was told. Car was purchased by the original owner in 1965. was driven94000 miles and parked in a garage sometime in the late 70's.Owner passed away and car sat until the parents of owner past away and carwas sold to a auto wreckers yard in jersey in may of this year. I bought the car in june.

car needs body work and rust removal. doors and floors are shot. I have brand new full floor pans that come with the car with brand new seat risers. everything else on the car I believe can be saved with patching and body work. bottoms of both fenders and quarters will need work. wheel wells lookmostly solid and can be used. havethe seats ( front buckets and full back that need new foam andupholstery ) gas tank is in good shape and could possibly be used if you clean out the 40 year old gas that's in it. don't have a grill or front bumper. front and back windshields need to be replaced.there is etching from a tarp I think on both I cant get out. Original radio is there. Im sure Im forgetting something so please ask all the questions you need. I will answer as fast as possible.

The drivetrain is 100% original 289 2v 3 speed trans. all #s match. the trans is in working usable condition. the motor has been torn down to the block. started to hone out one cylinder cause I was going to put bigger pistons in it. I didn't go far just took the rust and lip out of one cylinder so you shouldn't have a problem going back to stock pistons. ORsince its already apart do what I was going to do and build a nice motor. I broke the distributer on tear down. Carb needs rebuild and there's a stuck valve in one head. also the cam looked warn. every nutand bolt is in boxes.

I havea NJ title ( as seen in pics ) sadly I have already signed it.I will gladly go to dmv and obtain a transferable reg to give to the buyer or if you have any other ideaI will listen. The title states 1 owner so I would hate to loose that just cause iv owned the car for a month. Iv heard you can take a rubbing of the #s and obtain a title in NY for a classic and you would still have a one owner car. regardless I do have the title and will do whatever the buyer wants to transfer it.

I would highly recommend coming to look at the car if you want to bid on it or at least ask all the questions you may have. Im being strait up about everything the car does need a LOT of work, nd Im sure Im forgetting things. I thought about parting it out but its getting harder and harder to find a total #'s matching project car anymore so someone should restore it right. reserve I think is very reasonable and less then I have into it already. Pickup only !!! if you live in a reasonable pre discusseddistance I have a buddy with a truck and trailer that I could get to drop the car off for a small fee.

If buy it now is used AND ONLY IF BUY IT NOW IS USED !!! I will throw in a4 speed toploader for the car( seen in pic 8 on shelf just painted ) #'s off it come back 64 or 65 A code Mustang 4 speed. Trans does not come with car if buy it now is not used.
