An all-new body-shell featured a severely pointed front 'prow,' modest fins above huge renditions of Ford's round tail-lights, nd softer roof contours on the hardtops. For its time, he car offered exceptional soundproofing and overall quality. Ford's burly 390 V-8 was the only engine offered for 1961"

For sale by owner is this nice '62 Thunderbird convertible. I recently purchased this car from the estate of the long time (25 years) owner and intended to keep it as my summer driver because it was so solid. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he car is up for sale. Life has a way of throwing curve balls and unfortunately my plans have changed. The previous owners estate had limited knowledge of what has been done over the years, hat follows is what we do know. Built and sold in California, his Thunderbird is a very nice combination of original, ith some cosmetic and mechanical improvements over the years. Redone to replicate a Sports Roadster, he car was repainted the originalCorinthian White years ago and still looks nice, 10 footer. The engine is a Z code 390 V-8 with a 3-Speed automatic transmission. The interior appears to be a very nice combination of original and restored and most important on these cars is a complete new power top system, verything was either replaced or rebuilt and it operates flawlessly. The exterior chrome and trim appear original and in great condition and the undercarriage is exceptionally solid, lean and dry. Nicely equipped with the following items; power steering, ower brakes, ower windows, power convertible top, actory air conditioning, M radio, wing away steering wheel, elsey Hayes wire wheels and the added Sports Roadster cover.
