T TOP 1978 Thunderbird 1 of 400

Anextremelyfine example of a super rare and verydesirableT Top Thunderbird. I am the second owner. This car draws an admiring crowd where ever I go. Built on the first day of T Top production at the LA plant and isone of approximately 400 T Top Thunderbirds built .Low original mileage, he car was placed in storage in 1996. I included a picture of the door service tag dated June 10, 996 with 39,491 miles indicating the last service done before the car was stored, he car was very well maintained. No body damage, o rus, has never been in an accident, ery well optioned with working 8 track AM/FM stereo withQuadraphonicsound, I just upgraded all the speakers), ptional color keyed rims, ocking spare tire, riginal and custom made padded t top storage bags, runk mounted t top restraint straps, onvenienceGroup, ime delay windshield wipers, peed control,tiltcolumn, lectric rear window heater, ear vinyl roof, nbsp;working air conditioning, nterior decor group, ppearance protection group,remotecontrolledrear view mirrors, inted glass, nbsp;power cloth split bench seats, ower windows, ower door locks, he a/c system was flushed, he a/c vacuum valve was replaced with a modern updated part with pressure shut off, he system was refilled with fresh Freeze 12 R 12replacementrefrigerant and works very well. The heater defroster also works very well. The carpet and door panels are in very good condition, ll the glass is crack free and go up and down fine.This car has been parked since 1996. The car starts and runs perfectly, verything works. The T Top had leaked and stained the headliner so I had the T Top structural frame completely resealed along with new perimeter weatherstripping, elts and new cloth headliner. The tires were dry rotted from sitting so I installed4 brand new ww tires. The car also comes with a spare set of t tops. Ive been getting 15 MPG+ in town and 18-22 MPG on the highway, he engine runs perfectly, he transmission shifts perfectly, o leaks, nocks or smoke.The car was parked near a pine tree so it does have several pinhead size spots were the pine sap marred the paint,, t does a few minor scrapes on the front turn signal housing otherwise the finish is in very good condition. Open to specialty/classic car trade of equal or lesser value.I just installed a brand new Kenwood KDC-X399 stereo and a Sirius Onyx plus satellite radioreceiver in a custom built-to-match console. the tubular looking parts running from the firewall to the fender aprons in the engine picture are the t topreinforcementbraces which were installed by C&C to prevent cowl shake after the t tops were installed.also please note the updated vacuum pressure switch which cycles the compressor like modern systems do.the black straps in the trunk picture are the t top glass straps which secure the t tops while they are in the trunk.the new weatherstripping for the t top is the perimeter headliner molding, enter bar felt/rubber strip, ront and rear opening felt/rubber stripping, ll of which are NOS.
