It started with a complete cab and bed off frame redo about 6 years ago, nd has been cruised and driven to most of the bigger shows throughout the years without issue. The body is still in incredible, lean, nd rust-free condition, nd the radical looking Hot Rod Flatz BURNT ORANGE finish still looks fantastic from every angle. Yes, fter being driven 3,000 or so miles since completed, t does have a couple little stone chips, scuff mark, r other paint blemish to show, ut as you can tell from the 100 extra-large photos it is still a 100% show-ready machine! The truck is all steel, nd you can run a 4x4 felt covered magnet over the entire thing and it will stick like glue! No sign of chicken wire, oor screen, rushed up beer cans, r bondo patch panels on the truck, nd it shows super straight with excellent gaps and clean fit and finish. The striping, ogos, nd flames throughout the inside and outside of the truck were all hand-painted by the legendary Nick Solovey of GARAGE NO. 7 fame, nd it all looks AMAZING! I have taken detailed shots of almost all of it in the photos with this listing. Grille, ront and rear bumpers, nd most of the polished or chrome parts and associated trim were stripped and acid etched prior to being sprayed with the same HRF Burnt Orange for a cool monochromatic look. It all looks fantastic, nd for the most part is devoid of dents, ivots and damage. Lights, enses, nd housings for them are all in great condition and operate as they should. All of the glass on the truck is in excellent condition, ith no cracks, hips, r damage evident. All of the weather seals, eather stripping, nd window surrounds looks fantastic, nd seals out the elements like it should. Wiper arms show light chrome finish issues, ut are perfectly functional and suitable for driving. Chrome mini mirrors are in great condition, nd function like they should. The cream white finish on the roof of the truck looks fantastic, nd provides a clean color for the orange to play off of, hile joining to the white bed cover to provide a nice contrasting look to the truck. The truck rides on full chrome smoothies with baby moons and they are in excellent condition all around. They are wrapped in 15” HANKOOK ATLAS WIDE WHITEWALL RADIALS up front, nd GREMAX 225/75r15 radials with PORTA-WALLS in the back. All of the tires are damage and issue free, nd have only about 3,000 miles on them. The tonneau cover was custom made for the truck, nd it fits PERFECTLY with all snaps being fully functional. There are no cuts, ips, r signs of damage, nd only a couple little marks that will probably come out when you take the time to detail the truck. Remove the cover, nd you see that the inner walls of the bed have been treated with a roll on liner material to protect them from car shows chairs and coolers. The bed floor itself is real wood, nd has been waterproofed and treated before installation with new hardware and trim. Gas cap for the relocated tank is located near the end of the bed, nd functions as it should. All of the lights work on the truck, ncluding headlights, i beams, nd signal lights. The chassis of the truck is clean and rust free, nd shows only the normal patina of bare metal. Shorty exhaust system sounds awesome, nd gives the truck a healthy rumble that lets everyone know something cool is coming towards them. Suspension system is solid and tight, nd the truck rides very nicely, nd handles so easy even your sweet little Aunt could probably drive it! Brakes are solid and sure, nd bring the truck down from speed without any odd wander, ade, ulling, r weird modulation. Steering is light and easy, nd you'd swear it was power, ut it isn't! Most of the components are intact for PS, ut when the truck was redone, he prior owner felt that it steered light enough already so they opted not to hook it up like they originally intended. I can one hand the thing with ease, nd my wife drove it without complaint, o I am sure all but the frailest of people can cruise it around without issue. Probably won't take much to hook the rest of it up if you want to. The chassis and suspension parts show cleanly, ut the engine bay is really nice, nd has been treated to gloss black with more custom striping underneath. Ford in a Ford is a rare thing these days, o the clean running little 302 in this truck is a nice surprise! The motor was built for ease of maintenance, ongevity, nd daily driver qualities in mind, o don’t expect to win any pink slips with it, ut it has plenty of power and will smoke the tires if that is your cup of tea. I didn’t build it, o I don’t have much on internal specs for you, ut from the prior owner and seat of the pants driving time I would estimate that it is somewhere around a 225hp powertrain, nd feels really smooth so I don’t believe it has a cam or anything. Idle is clean, nd the truck scoots right along when you hit the go pedal. It does not and has not leaked, ept, moked or done anything odd since I have had it, nd I have driven on two separate trips of about 25 miles each. Engine itself is clean and looks good, ith painted valve covers, fresh EDELBROCK 7170 Carb, nd some chrome and polished bits to make it show good at cruise night. The new radiator and fan set up keeps the truck super cool, ven in our recent 100 degree Florida weather. I have seen it hit 203 on one of my trips I took it on, nd that was sitting in a line waiting to park at a car show for 20 minutes. The rest of the time, t hangs in the 193/194 range, o matter how hot the sun is. As you can see in the pictures, ost of the hardware and stuff on the truck still looks like new, nd it has been very carefully maintained and cared for by the prior owner with garage storage, nd Spring through Fall use ONLY. The truck cruises right along, nd with the current gearing is happiest around 65 mph, lthough it will easily do more! If you wanted to make it a freeway flier, gear swap would be needed, ut for now, t is PERFECT for cruising in town and on the highways, ith the occasional quick trip on the Interstate. The C4 FORD automatic shifts smooth, nd has no known issues. It does not appear to have a shift kit or stall converter. The interior of the truck is very nice, nd provides a perfect place to command the truck from. Dash is painted and striped like the rest of the truck, nd shows wonderfully. Custom made wood-topped knobs cover the functional switches for AIR VENT, IGHTS, IPERS, IG. LIGHTER, HOKE, nd FAN controls. Everything works like it should, ncluding the fan. Dash also has the original gauge surround in great condition, nd the original Speedo/Odo that is functional as well, nd shows 72,086 on it. A SUNTUNE Tachometer has been cleverly installed in one of the defrost vents, nd looks and works great! A center mounted gauge pod holds modern gauges to monitor OIL PRESSURE / WATER TEMP / and FUEL, nd all appear to working as they should be. The custom made floor console provides some storage area and looks good in front of the chrome shift arm with 8-Ball topper. A removable center console unit sits on the seat, nd has more hidden storage along with two cup holders. It simply lifts out if you don’t need it, eaving room for three full size adults on the large, loth covered bench seat. OEM style headliner looks great, s does the single driver side visor. Doors have been painted and striped like the rest of the truck, nd look great, long with the chrome door pulls and window rollers. Fuzzies and regulators are like new, o windows roll up and down with ease. The passenger side vent window handle broke off on the prior owner, nd it will need replaced. The truck has full banded carpeting on the floor, nstalled over a layer of insulation / sound dampening, nd it all looks fantastic with a set of heavy rubber mats to protect it. Behind the seat are two custom made boxes with KENWOOD 6x9 full range speakers connected to the glovebox mounted KENWOOD XHJ6425 AM-FM-CD-MP3 stereo with USB/iPhone plug and wireless remote. It sounds great, nd works like it should. The truck is a super clean little cruiser that gets a LOT of attention. It is NOT a “rat” or thrown-together gimmick. It is a really clean, ell-done, uality built pickup that you can drive wherever you want, nd snag a trophy or prize at a local or regional car show with.
