It was actually a styling cue from one of Ford's concept/dream cars that they used on this model car. It is one of the few convertibles in MissChiTown's opinion that LOOKS AS GOOD WITH TOP UP AS IT DOES WITH THE TOP DOWN! This yellow & black has to be one of the best color schemes for this car. Check out the quality chrome and the beautiful stainless. The private seller tells us that the car starts, tops and runs just great! Everything functions, xcept the fuel gauge is not working. The lady seller has noticed that the right hand door seems to need an adjustment on the latch. One of the seams in the back seat is splitting slightly - see photos. This car is running is running dual exhaust, ordamatic transmission and has plenty of 'Go Power' to live to its great looks.

In 1955 Ford had a big hit with the dramatically all-new sheet metal and the trendy wraparound windshield. The car had the expanded 115.5 inch wheel base, concave checkerboard grille and jet tube taillights. The interiors for this year also featured a new dashboard that still retained the see through Astro Dial speedometer.

The private seller is a lady who purchased this car about seven years ago and bought it in its restored condition.
