Up for bid is my personal 1951 Ford F-6 that has lived it's life here in the state of Iowa. The doors still show some original signage reading CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY COMPANY WATERLOO, OWA. The drivers door could use the pins replaced sometime down the road but it still opens and shuts fine. Just sloppy while driving. It's been placed as low as possible on a 1976 Dodge mini home chassis. The chassis has a Max Gross Vehicle Weight rating of 9000lbs. IFS front suspension so it rides nice (for a 1 ton style suspension) and power steering makes driving it a breeze. I cruise this down the road with 2 fingers and its very easy to handle and drive around! It's got a 360 small block with an A727 trans (no over drive) and rear end with 4:10 gears. the entire chassis has less than 70,000 miles on it. It has a new muffler, nd new battery with a new battery relocation kit setting it behind the cab. I've done a full tune up on it with air filter, lugs, ires, ap, otor, il, il filter, ll new antifreeze, rans filter & pan gasket, ull synthetic trans fluid, ear end fluid checked and topped off, ads front and rear are all near new, isk front and drum rear. New rubber lines front and back, ome new steel lines, new rear wheel cylinders, nd a new fuel filter. Carbs been rebuilt (2 barrel). The front tires are brand new and on 16" wheels. The rear tires are older with near new tread but do show some small weather checking between the tread and are on 16.5 wheels. Gas tank is a huge 39 gallon with no leaks and good straps. Truck has functional headlights, ail lights, everse lights, ab roof lights (original lights from the 50s era) and turn signals. The radiator is the original and very large one to the f-6 and has been checked and does not leak.It only has a 4psi cap on it and the truck NEVER gets hot but every once in a while it will drip some out of the over flow when driving. I'm running a large aluminum trans cooler in front of it for the tranny. Motor runs at 180 degrees down the interstate and I've only seen it barely creep over 200 at a stand still in heavy traffic on a 90 degree day. No electric fans just the engine's mechanical. The oil pressure runs at 25psi at a stop and 50 going down the road. The motor does have some wet spots where some old gaskets could be replaced but its got some time before any of thats needed I would think. This does have power brakes with a booster which is original from the mini home camper. The steering column is from the camper but has been modified to fit with all new mounts and u joints and no tilt. No radio, on functioning wiper blade (thats what rainX is for), oor glass is broken but still in the passengers door. Drivers glass is gone. The roof above the front windshield has some rust and good sized holes inside where a mirror would be mounted. There was a rust hole just abouve the front window gasket thats been filled with black silicone. As it currently sits I belive it to have an exhaust leak on the drivers side somewhere around the manifold or doughnut, nd very small antifreeze leak near the rear of the engine that I've noticed a few small drips under the truck after its been parked and cooled down. I'll be leaving the bed as it is because I've had more people want it with their own plans than as a car hauler like I planned. The flat bed deck is 9 foot 6 inches long from the back of the cab to the end of it at the rear. The truck does come with a good rear spare tire and wheel that will go along with it. It's a good spare with a new tube. I have the clean and clear title in my name up to date and ready to go. I can go out in the shop right now, urn the key, nd drive it anywhere. The furthest I've driven it has been just over 2 hours away around 60 mph without an issue. I've put just over 1500 miles on the current set up. If you flat foot it, t will lite up the rear right dual wheels so it is fun to be in town with. The exhaust pipe on the drivers side is functional but only the rear foot or so where the much smaller exhaust with a summit built muffler runs into the back of it. the cab lights are wired into the key so they're on all the time. The seats are originals from the camper. The floor is galvanized sheet metal along with the custom dog house we built for it. The dog house also has a single 5" hole cut out under each license plate for easier access to check trans fluid or anything else without having to pull the dog house off and out. The shifter is completly functional and Ive never had it come out of gear or anything going down any roads. I manually shift the truck everywhere I go. (I like the feeling of it I guess) The factory gauges are none functional but I didnt want to hack up the dash for different ones or spend extra money on new ones to fit so I placed all the gauges in the glove box and they are all functional. It can also be closed and they will be hidden. The factory hood latch does not work so I have put in hidden hood pins to keep the factory look outside and be completly function underneath. No hood prop so I'll include the 2x4 Ive used haha. I have driven this to multiple car shows including Vintage Torquefest in Dubuque, owa, oodguys in Des Moines, owa and many more. I've brought home multiple trophies with this truck and is definetly a popular ride to cruise into a car show with. I've got 2 other cabovers to build and I really just need the room so this one has to go.Like I said before, his truck can fall in the "ratrod" category so it has flaws, ings, ust, cratches, tc.... It all adds character in my opinion so dont thing your buying a mint truck ready for a restoration or paint job. Please please please if you have ANY questions at all feel free to call or text me at 319-290-6272 My name is Cody and ill be happy to answer anything you might need to know. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION so what it sells for is it!I am a serious seller so you should be a serious bidder!
