I have two 1982 Fiat X1/9’s to offer for bid. The Princess and the Bad Boy. these two Italian cuties have had significantly diverse lives but are offered to show the joys of early 80’s engineering. The Princess (Rosso Met. ) was one of the last X1/9’s to roll off the Lingotto production line in Turin. Italy in 1982. She was delivered to San Antonio. Texas and sold in March of 1983 (the windows sticker and Owner’s Warranty and Service book are included). In late ’84. with 7. 00 miles on her (documented). the car was sold and moved to Michigan where it was stored for 31 years. She currently has 7. 00 miles on the odometer. The princess was recently re-commissioned by a classic car dealer in her home town. with a cleaning of the gas tank and lines as well as replacement of the frozen rear brakes. That and a new coat of paint make the car look and run like brand new. Everything works. including the door open chime. clock. cigarette lighter and dealer installed Pioneer stereo. There’s also dealer installed; window tint. bump guards. and factory installed air conditioning. The Bad Boy (Dark metallic green) is also from Michigan but has been driven 80. 00 miles and fell prey to all of the usual Fiat afflictions. The rockers and floor pans were replaced a few years ago by the previous owner. who is a Boatwright. and who did an excellent job of making this X1/9 a solid sport contender. Mechanically. he replaced the water pump and brake system. As he was forced to sell. I took care of the cosmetics by replacing the windshield. carpet. recovering the dashboard. added a beautiful dark green metallic paint job and replaced missing jewelry (badges/emblems. bump guard). He now looks like the warrior with a fresh haircut. mature good looks. Both cars have 1. 5 liter. dual overhead cam. four cylinder. 75 bhp motors and use Bosch 145cc fuel injectors. The bad boy has a K&N air cleaner and aftermarket muffler which make it sound and feel a bit more aggressive. Fuel injection means they both start with the turn of a key. and the five speed transmissions insure a delightful driving experience. If you’ve got graduating twins or just want to share this outstanding opportunity to get in on Italian motoring and design with your honey. nbsp; feel free to ask questions. arrange a viewing. or just bid like crazy.
