I bought this Fiat about a month ago on Ebay for an agreed on amount of $6000 . The seller lived local to me (Maryland) and was in the process of moving to Arizona . He trailer the car to my house and upon inspection I decided that the car needed more body and paint work than I had realized . I discussed this with the seller and we agreed upon a lower price . I put the car in my barn along with other collector vehicles I own and pondered the growing list of cars needing some degree of restoration (about four out of the 20 or so I own) and I decided I'd rather resell it than add it to this list . It runs great as it's well sorted. riginal and all systems work as they should . It's fun to drive and peppy if not fast . The interior is nice and correct . The body is seemingly original with dings and chips throughout . Some rust in the front of the rockers and in the rear floors . Better than most and drivable as is but a nice candidate for a light body and paint job. Good luck budding on this relatively rare and interesting car . Call or write with questions . Phil 410-963-0547The following is the Ebay write up from the seller:This is a 1970 Fiat 850 Sport Spider in very nice original condition. Yes. an original Italian sports car! The exterior appears as an excellent daily driver with no touch-up or repaint. It shines well. The interior is excellent. as is the top with a clear rear back window. There are a few small dents/scratches on the vehicle and a little rust boiling out on the forward part of the lower rocker panels. I may be able to supplement with additional pictures around March 11th. The tires are in excellent condition and the engine is clean. It starts. runs and stops well. I bought it with the intention of restoring it and I really like the color. but now have too many projects so must part with it. This is the same vehicle that was advertised on quite a while ago on Bring-a-Trailer and eBay and advertised as an original 67. xx mile vehicle. I went through the paperwork that came with it and the dealer who drove it for about a year and sold it to me. said he couldn't verify the mileage. He said there was a small odometer discrepancy in the title work. so he checked the title accordingly and that's where we stand with this vehicle. However. nbsp;everything showed all evidence of being below 68. 00 miles. It has gotten great comments at the local auto shows. including from a Greater Washington DC Area Fiat owners club. To my knowledge. there is only one other similar to it in Hagerstown. MD. but it was a burgundy one. This is where our vehicle is located and where we used to reside. It will be comforting for you to know that everything works correctly on the vehicle and will provide years of fun or a great vehicle to restore if that is your passion.
