Car description

NOTE: The Autocheck score is due to the mileage being unknown because the previous owner changed the odometer.

Purchased 10 years ago from a neighbor. No service records from him, but I've listed all the work I've done below. My goal was to have a reliable, good looking driver.Selling because I'm taking on a new project and I don't have the space (or time) to keep both.I'd keep it if I could.Clear title in my name.

Listed locally on Craigslist.

The Good:

- Reliable, sharp looking and fun car.Hasn't seen a raindrop in my ownership.Garaged covered in a dry, but unconditioned garage.

- Everything works - including all electronics.

- Upgraded Pioneer stereo.

- Solid body with none of the typical rust issues.

What's Been Done By Previoius Ownership:

- The previous owner installed a 140 mph speedo, so the actual mileage is unknown.I was told that the original one read in the 50's, but can't verify.I've put about 1,000 miles on it per year (~10,000).Current odometer reads 65,000-ish. The 140 mph speedo connector doesn't perfectly connect with factory speedo cable, so the needle sometimes bounces at low speed.

- Previous owner put a 4-2-1 performance header and an Ansa exhaust on it.Sounds fantastic.

- Previous owner replaced the rear diff.I recently changed the oil in it.Old oil looked fine with no flakes or metal sludge.

- PO put in a cone air filter to replace original intake filter.I've just cleaned it.

- Respray in the current color.

What's Been Done By Me:

Engine and mechanical:

- Oil change 100 miles ago

- Timing belt and tensioner

- Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets

- 95 amp alternator upgrade (new belt)

- Radiator, water pump and hoses.Coolant is brand new

- Clutch pedal and cable

- New intake piping to replace dry rubber original

- Timed perfectly and adjusted valves

- Almost all fuel and ignition components.Cleaned injectors, new cold start injector, new coolant temp sensor, cap/rotor/wires, fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel filter, O2 sensor.

- New ignition switch

- Heater core and valve.Installed bleed valve to heater hose.Heat works great.

- Short shifter kit and shifter bushings

- New suspension - Front control arms, bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, lowering springs and shocks all around

- Recent brake pads.New brake lines

- Front and rear sway bars, bushings

- All grounds chased and cleaned.Replaced rear light circuit boards.

Body:

- New vinyl top (3 years ago).Cleaned and painted steel armature

- Wind deflector. This is a game changer for protection from wind buffeting when driving at speed.

- New 15x6.5" alloy wheels in gunmetal.Tires are 5 years old and barely worn.

- Pushed the bumpers in.Common mod to make the newer style bumpers look better.

- Brand new oil pan guard and front spoiler

Interior:

- New stereo (Bluetooth, CD player) and speakers

- New burl wood veneer dash panels

- Installed oil pressure gauge (and sensor) in place of original clock

- Wood shifter knob and new leather boot

- Painted floor boards (zero rust) and added sound deadening insulation

The Not So Good:

- The respray by the PO in the current color is not great.Lots of knicks and imperfections. It's a "15 footer", but still gets lots of compliments. It looks good enough for me and again, my emphasis was on mechanical reliability.Originally a cream color.

- It's a Fiat, so it leaks oil (Italian rustproofing). Not a ton, but enough to coat the rear of the engine.Leaking from the exhaust side cam cover. Not enough to add any oil over the summer use.I've not cleaned the engine because it's best for people to see it as it is.

- Steering wheel is just slightly crooked from last alignment.

Includes cloth car cover, original manuals and a box of spare parts.

Can send more pics on request.I don't have access to a lift. Contact me with any questions.
