Car description

F Great looking classic sports car that makes heads turn. FUN car that is a joy to drive.

This 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider is finished in red and powered by a rear-mounted 903cc inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car has spent 10 years with the previous seller, who believes himself its third owner and has driven it approximately5,000 miles as well as performingmechanical refurbishment includingcarburetor, electrical, cooling, suspension, steering, andbrake work. This 850 comes witha factory tool kit, owner’s and repair manuals, four extra tires, removed stock parts, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name. Current seller has owned for 2 years. Purchased from previous seller out of Arizona and has remained in Nevada. No winters in ice, snow, or with salt.

The seller states that the car was repainted under previous ownership and notes three touched-up scratches on the right side and scratches from the top on the right side. The seller also notes two areas that need to be resewn as well as a tear on the right side of the convertible top. The top has not been used by the current seller so it is not known of leaks.

Aluminum American Racing wheels are date-coded to 1971 and fitted with newer tires all around according to the seller. The car also comes with a set of steel wheels.

The black-upholstered cabin features options including a console extension between the floor and dash that houses the AM/FM stereo cassette, speaker, and defroster switch. The seller mentions thatthe seat covers would benefit from replacement or the original seats be reupholstered and notes cracks in thedash. The 5-digit odometer shows just over 47k miles.

The previous seller was reportedly a mechanic of 40 years, and work during his ownership is said to have included:

  • Rebuilt Weber 30 DIC carburetor
  • New fuel lines and filters
  • Fuel tank cleaned and fitted with new pickup
  • Tune-up with rebuilt distributor and replacement coil, cap, rotor, condenser, points, ignition wires, spark plugs
  • New gear reduction starter (stock included)

  • Rebuilt radiator andnew water pump, thermostat, hoses, overflow bottle
  • Newheater core andhoses

The previous seller says the car was undercoated from the factory. Additional work performed by the previous seller is listed below:

  • Replaced king pins, tie rods, center link, steering box, idler arm, half shafts, sway bars, trailing arms, control arms, andbushings
  • New brakes with rebuilt calipers and fresh lines
  • New wheel bearings, greased Zerk fittings
  • Shocks rebuilt with new seals and valving, bushings, andrestored hardware
Selling due to the fact that the husband was not happy when the car hauler pulled up and unloaded it, therefore he will not ride in it and current riding partner passed away a few months ago, so therefore it is for sale.
