This is a LHD last series production 1965 Fiat 500D Transformable. Nuova range that began in 1957 and ended in 1975. The Fiat 500D like its predecessor the Fiat 500N, has suicide doors. The transformable or 'trasformabile' in Italian, is a convertible roof that folds all the way down to the engine bay. This particular options is highly desirable amongst collectors.

This particular model has had a comprehensive ground up, no expense spared, restoration. It was stripped to bare metal and fully restored with suspension components, sandblasted. The car has been restored with upgrades keeping originality in mind. You often find that some of these vehicles are being offered with non original engines, like the Fiat 126 engine, that frankly looks ugly, or other Fiat model engines. This is done to increase the power output.

The original 500D 499cc of this car has been upgraded. It features larger pistons whilst keeping the original monobloc the same . These super compressed cylinders and pistons give an output of 540cc and sufficient power to keep up with modern day traffic. The larger pistons are internal and no modification of the monobloc was required. This additional power makes the car a pleasure to drive.

The car features an ultra rare radio called the Voxson Vanguard which is a radio that is designed in the shape of a rear view mirror. It was a rare option for Fiats . The original radio AM radio was ugraded to FM and all knobs and facia has been carefully and painstakingly restored. The radio comes complete with its original instruction booklet and wiring diagram. The radio alone is in excess of £1,000.

The interior seats and door cards are made with high quality Italian leatherthat has been hand stitched as opposed to vinyl material. The softop is also upgraded from vinyl to Mohair.

The car comes with an original 500D period brochure in English and the Voxson Vanguard radio, instruction booklet and wiring diagram.

The restored engine has less than 25 miles on it. This is definitely the best Fiat 500D that you shall find in the market, anywhere.

The car is registered and located in the UK. It will come with Italian style licence plates(front and back) with its UK registration.
