What a FABULOUS 1972 Fiat 124 SPIDER
She is really incredible in every way while onlyhaving a little over 49,704 ORIGINAL MILES.She appears to be a RUST FREE EXAMPLE of a early 124 with the famous 1608 CC engine, and the much smaller desirable chrome bumpers.
I have the Original Title not a copy from 1973 and that owner had her 42 years and she was his baby!!!! The second owner had her in his position for 5 years and she was his baby as well and he renewed several items to make her very drivable and dependable HE SPENT A LOT OF MONEYON HER!!!!
He went over this baby with a fine tooth comb, repairing, restoring, and maintaining her to a high level!! She is a 1608cc (1.6) inline 4. She is equipped with Disc brakes all around. Her Engine is rev happy and is eager to respond to throttle input. She originally was equipped with a Weber DHSA 28/36 vacuum secondary carb. The second owner pulled this carb and its manifold and replaced them with a much larger Weber 32 DMSA mechanical secondary. DMSA carb was the largest mechanical secondary carb offered on these cars in the states.
The DMSA carb makes much more power and is much more responsive with the mechanical secondary than the original carb. The 72 1608cc was the only year offered with dual Weber 401DFs in European spec which makes this model year an interesting proposition should you decide to jump for a set of IDF carbs. I still have all of the original equipment, as well as a host of additional parts that will accompany this little jewel!!
Her interior is 100% original and in great shape, given the fact of her age not even a small tear any place. ALL gauges function as they should she runs cool and has great oil pressure!. Her heater and defroster also functions as they should. The drop top works effortlessly and is very weather tight. Every single light works as they should to include even the back up lights and dash lights!!
The body of this little Spider appears to be in remarkable condition and never driven in winter weather at all. Her chrome is in great condition. I have all 4 of the bumper guards that are in great shape. Along with a large box of new misc parts that will accompany this little beauty.
Below is a list of items renewed in the last several months:New Rubber Fuel Lines All The Way AroundNew Front Suspension BushingsNew Front Suspension Roller BearingsNew Front Suspension Ball JointsNew Sway Bar BushingsFuel Tank Pulled, Cleaned, Relined, RepaintedNew Flex Joint At Drive AxleNew Timing BeltNew Timing Belt Tension BearingNew Front Brake CalipersNew Brake PadsNew Tires All Around (KUMHO TIRES)Added Single Plane Intake ManifoldRebuilt And Added Weber 32 DMSA CarbOriginal Weber DHSA Carb IS ALSO REBUILTNew Intake And Exhaust GasketsNew Cam Tower GasketsNew Spark Plugs New LeadsNew Points And Condenser. In short this little 124 is ready to give its new conservator an awful lot of FUN AND DRIVING PLEASURE!!!Please ask any and all questions and we welcome inspection by the new proposed owner or a person qualified to evaluate collector cars!!
