This car is essentially a new car. Bought as an investment, it was driven little and always stored in a heated garage. It has just over 8100 original miles. The body and paint is factory. The only blemishes are one small dent on each door as pointed out in the photos. The upholstery is original. A little dye work was done on the driver's seat. The rest of the interior is as new. The engine runs as new. The five speed transmission shifts and drives as new. The brakes are in virtually new condition. All the gauges work including the clock! The AM/FM cassette player and AC were installed in 1981 and both work (I bought an EAGLES tape for player confirmation). The top is original and is good condition. The original tonneau cover is in new condition. It has the optional oil pan protector installed. A front paint protector mask is present and in new condition. The trunk is as new with the original spare and tools. The factory manuals are in the glove box. A repair manual is included. I have done the following service; replaced the timing belt, replaced the alternator and air conditioning belt. converted the AC to 134 refrigerant, installed four gas shocks, replaced the upper and lower "A" arm bushings, flushed the radiator, replaced the coolant, fixed the tachometer, replaced the exhaust with OEM spec mufflers and tail pipe from the CAT back, gave it a tune up. I have driven the car on occasion around Coeur d' Alene, it drives as one would expect. Hemmings listed this car as the best driving bargain a while back with the MGB as second. At the time, being a British car enthusiast, I was skeptical. This car has brought me into agreement!
