Car description |
---|
I've got to sell my 1978 Polski Fiat 126p which I imported from Poland.
I owned this car when I lived there and brought it back to the US with me. We are now returning to Poland and I don't want to reimport it back.
This is 100% legal in the US, it is currently registered in NC with a clear title. I have copies of the import paperwork as well.
This is pretty much unmolested and all original. The owner before me added an AM radio and a period correct fan. I did swap out the condenser for a newer one, but still have the original along with a rebuilt dynamo and some other random spare parts. There is rust behind front drivers wheel. I do have replacement body panel.
In 2018 new wheel bearings where installed.
The Fiat 126 was intended to be the replacement for the classic Fiat 500, but was only popular in countries like Poland and Hungary behind the iron curtain. Italy did produce the 126, but this is a licensed Fiat 126p.
650cc, 2 cylinder, air-cooled, rear-wheel drive, 4 speed w/ R, gasoline
Highway speed in Poland is 120 km/h, which this does reach, about 80mph.
