Interesting Facts first…: First of all, it is not a Fiat 124 Spider.
First introduced in 1966 and running till 1982, the Fiat 124 Spider was one of the most recognized and successful Automobiles in the Fiat History. Back in 1982 Pininfarina became, after 50 years of designing cars for other Companies, a true Automobile Manufacturer.
They took over the Fiat 124 and Sergio Pininfarina added over 100 Design and Engineering Improvements. He renamed it to “Azzura”
From Late 1982 till 1985 ½ the Azzura was produced only by Pininfarina and less than 3000 cars were exported overseas from where, there is said, only around 400 are still around (Credit by pininfarinaazzurra.com).
This particular car was imported in early 84 to Maryland and only driven for one year and disappeared in the Garage where it was only taken out occasionally to keep it in running order. The last registration Sticker is still on the factory original front Windshield, stating 1984 !!!
This Azzurra is immaculate. It has only 5000 original Miles and has never been messed with. All screws lines and hoses are original and of course it sits in all original Paint. It is as clean to excellent Condition as it can be. Only flaw would be the folding top. It is the factory original folding top, that shows due to it’s age some wear at the bows.
The car runs, drives and shifts like brand new and like you would expect it on a 5000 Miles Collector car.
Most likely the best preserved Pininfarina in the country. Comes with original owners Manual and Window sticker !!!
Hagerty rates it in “Concourse condition” at around $33.7k. They are usually pretty good with evaluation.
I do have a clean and clear California Title in my name.
