I thought I would see if there is any interest in these before I take on the project. I am 85% done with a BMW restoration and these would be next on my list unless someone wants to take them on.
The story that I have with them is as follows. I purchased these from a gentleman who had owned them for 25+ years. The one that has an intact floor pan was running about 10 years ago before it was parked and forgotten. The other one was strictly a parts car but it does have the engine in the back as well as the convertible frame. When he decided to sell them earlier this year he applied for a Utah title and they issued a rebuildable title and riveted a VIN on the frame. I am sure the original vin#'s are present and you can apply for a regular title (in Utah at least) when it is running and road worthy.
AS you can see from the pictures the one vehicle has a fairly complete floor pan, but that doesn't mean there isn't some rust that will need to be addressed. The vision I had for them was to restore the one using parts from both and then possibly retro fitting the other top chassis on to an electric cart frame. These cars are sold as a pair and sold 100% AS IS. They are available for inspection in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you would like to discuss them more email me and I can send a phone #.
