This vehicle was one of those rare finds - a person had this in their yard for many. many years before it was purchased by a European mechanic while he was visiting the U. S. It was then taken to a professional restoration garage where it was completely stripped and then restored. After the complete stripping. it was sent to the body shop for smoothing of the body and then painting it. The paint job is virtually flawless. The interior was completely redone along with a new top. The speedometer showed only 75k but it cannot be 100% that this was the correct mileage when the car was put out to pasture. However. upon a total teardown of the engine it seemed that this was probably the correct mileage. Nonetheless. all wear parts incl. pistons. bearings. etc. were replaced with new parts. The manual transmission was also completely gone through and a new clutch was installed. A new carburetor completed the drivetrain and it runs absolutely perfectly. The suspension parts were all replaced and/or refurbished (such as the sway bar itself. for example). This includes brand new brakes. On a scale of 1-10 restoration wise this is probably at least an 8. 5 and perhaps a 9. It is not 100% original as you can see from the custom wheels. It would not take much to get it to a 9. 5 or even better by replacing a few parts with original items. The seller is more than happy to provide many additional photos upon request as well as any other details on the extensive restoration that has been done to this wonderful sports car.
