1981 Fiat X1/9, looks good from a distance but has some dings, scratches, and scuffs. There is rust through in the rear trunk behind each whee, see the photos. Some surface rust in front trunk, see photos. Underneath the car is clean and dry, see photo. Rust is a minimum in this car. Paint is not original but appears to have been a good thorough paint job, original color looks to have been a reddish orange color. Wheels were white but paint is wore off and look silver. Interior is clean and mostly complete, radio and door speakers are missing but covers are there. Driver seat seams are coming apart. The engine has been rebuilt, the block and head milled for more compression, with an adjustable cam gear to correct cam timing. Valvesadjusted with correct shims. I built the engine exhaust header and custom exhaust2 1/2" with a custom built muffler and tip, sounds great.Engine runs good and strong. Transmission syncros are weak from first to second and a little from second to third, the transaxle also drips a little oil after driving and parked. The radiatorappears toseep a little.I replaced the original gauge cluster with one that reads 140 mph,the original one comes with the car. After replacing the cluster the two piece speedometer cable stopped working. The gas gauge does not work. There are the usual array of little problems that plague any vintage car and those unique to the Fiat. The car has four new tires with about five hundred miles on them. The clutch master seeps after sitting for some time but very little and it works fine. The brakes work fine but don't release real well if the car sits for months but loosen up when driven and work fine. The bumpers have been taken off, see pictures, but the bumpers and all the parts to put back come with the car. The entire complete exhaust system, manifold, down pipe with cat., muffler and tail pipe in great condition, come with the car. This car is a blast to drive and gets plenty of attention. Every thing in the pictures come with the car. This includes the original bumpers and parts, original complete exhaust system, original gauge cluster which I believe to be the correct mileage, the title has an exemption on this which is typical for old cars here in Oklahoma. There is a spare head, two ECM's that work, a MAF sensor, the original trunk panel with heat shield and carpet cover. All parts in the pictures, all included. Auction will run its course.
