1967 Fiat 500L This is not your ordinary Classic Fiat 500!If you are looking at this listing you already know what a Classic Fiat 500 is. You probably also know it was produced from the late 1950's until the mid 1970's. The car was called the Fiat 500. but was known in Italy as the Cinquecento. What you also probably already know is the Fiat 500 got its name from the 2 cylinder 500cc motor. While it was fun to drive around the small streets of Italy. The low power of the car and the non synchronized transmission proved to be a challenge for the streets of US. It is simply too hard to keep up with traffic in a stock Classic 500 and the stock transmission can be a bit of a challenge to some. This car is different! This car underwent a complete restoration in Italy. At that time the original motor was replaced by a modified 600cc motor which was modified to 650cc and a synchronized transmission. While the cars drive train looks stock. it is not! This little baby moves! While no Ferrari or a heavily modified Abarth this little guy can easily keep up with traffic and going through the gears is a breeze thanks to the upgraded transmission. This type of a conversion was typical in Italy and this one was done very. very well. It looks like a completely stock Classic 500 down to the whitewall tires. but when you step on the gas it has some pep and easily moves about. Looking over the engine compartment you will see a number of Abarth Go Fast Bits. The engine is in perfect shape and many of the parts like wires. plugs. filters. hoses and etc have been replaced within the last 12 months. Hop in. start it up and drive without a worry. The interior was also updated in Italy to really set this little guy apart from the spartan stock interior. The seats. carpets. door panels and dash have all been redone and are in great shape. The factory plastic handles and bits have been replaced with proper Italian Fiat 500 Aftermarket pieces to not only give the car a nicer touch. but also make it better while retaining the original character of the vehicle. Check out the beautiful dash. door panels and seats. Lot's of money was spent on making this little guy a head turner. The body is in excellent shape. All the rubber was replaced and is in excellent condition. The chrome trim also looks great. The glass is perfect and the front windshield was recently replaced (Hot sun and cold water caused a crack. so we replaced it with a new one). The body is rust free and straight. Take a close look at the side shots and you will see a clean. wave free body. The paint looks great! While it is not a show paint job it does look great and this car can be easily taken to a local car show without anything more then a wash. You may not win the First Place at the Concorso Italiano. but you should easily place within the top contenders and if you are planning to take it to a local car show or on a nice cruise on a Sunday prepare to gather a crowd. This little guy is a head turner. People go crazy over the clean outside. the great looking interior and all the shiny chrome. The engine bay is show ready. but most importantly while it may look stock it is not! Nothing like going for a little cruise with other Classic Fiat 500 Owners and then leaving them in the dust as the light turns green! The car was purchased in Italy by us and imported to the US. Once in our possession we went over the entire car. The engine was pulled and completely serviced even though it looked great. We replaced all the typical bits that should be replaced if you are not 100% sure how long it has been. Things like wires. plugs. hoses. gaskets and etc were replaced so there are no issues with hopping in and going for a drive. We also went over the entire electrical system. Every wire and plug was checked and if needed fixed or replaced to make sure all lights works as they should. Then we went over the entire suspension. We serviced and or replaced any worn parts to make sure the car is safe. This car was on display in 2013 at the Los Angeles International Auto Show and since then has been on display at our facility with an occasional Sunday drive around the beaches of Southern California. We recently decided to put the car up for sale in order to make room and fund our new projects. Our loss is your gain!If you are looking for an inexpensive. little beater Classic 500 that has been quickly fixed up to sell on eBay with low resolution images this is not it. This is a very clean car that has been completely gone over. It is easy to spend a little less for a Classic 500. but in the long run you will spend much more repairing a poor body. redoing pitted chrome. replacing old rubber. redoing the interior. fixing the electrical and then building an engine that has a bit of pep so you can actually drive it down the street. This car is already done! Simply hop in and drive! While not a concourse. frame off restoration this little guy has been restored very well and is in great condition. Be sure to check out the detailed pictures. They are current (taken 1/16/15). Some of the backgrounds have been blurred so the focus in on the car instead of other things around. The car itself has not been retouched. The pictures are an accurate description of the vehicle. Lastly the car is currently registered. Registering imported classic cars has become a lot more expensive and troublesome then before. This has already been done. The car has a clean California Title. current plates and current registration. The car is smog exempt so you will have zero issues with registration! The car is located at our facility in Signal Hill. California (next to Long Beach. CA) and is available for inspection and test drives if you are serious. If you are out of state we can assist you with transporting the car anywhere in US (you cover the costs involved. but we will assist with all arrangements and have done this before). We service and restore classic Fiat 500 cars so if you are local and ever need assistance we are here for you. The car is now on display at our showroom and listed for sale so we reserve the right to end the auction early if someone local decides to purchase the car. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. We are not a dealer and are not in the business of buying and selling cars. This car was purchased from Italy by us and used for promotion. Now that the promotions it was used for are over we are selling it in order to use funds for our new projects. Take a look at our feedback and buy with confidence!
