This 1970 Fiat 500L is the Lusso model (produced between 1968-1972) which providesa more modernized interior through a rectangular instrument panel and additional chromepiping on the bumpers.

This Fiat was recently imported from Italy where it had been meticulously refurbished, estored and slightly modified to carefully designed specifications that are targeted to ensure the car performs optimally on all types of roads.

The Restoration Process:

- The frame has been strip down, rinded, nd welded to remove all metal fatigue and rust.

- The refurbished frame and body has been primed and refinished with premium paints.

- The engine was refurbished and components were either replaced or the original parts were rebuilt when possible.

- The drivetrain features an upgraded 652cc 2-cylinder engine with synchromesh gearboxes for better overall performance. The 652cc engine can attain speeds of 70-75 mph versus the 499cc engines top speed of 59 mph. The installed engine is a two-cylinder, -speed, 7hp, ir cooled type.

- The electrical system has also been restored.All the wiring has been replaced and a new fuse panel is installed. A new battery has also been installed. The original generator has been replaced with a more reliable alternator.

- The interior upholstery is replaced with new material. In fact, ll interior materials are new from the floor liner to the headliner.

- Other upgrades includes: A refurbished suspension system, new faux whitewall tires, new spare, new jack and lug wrench, new window washer reservoir, efurbished 5-gal. gas tank painted with a trademark pattern of the Italian Flag (green, hite and red) embossed with the ancient symbol of Sicily (the Trinacria), new sunroof fabric (checkered black and white), nd a restored heating system.

Other Noteworthy Features:

- The heater is operated with a gate valve switch located under the lip of the back seat, ust right of center. This turns the heater flow on or off.

- The instrument console is Italian and in kilometers per hour. On the left side is a gas gauge. (10 Km = 6.3 mph). There are lighted bulbs for the turn signal indicators, he bright lights and the alternator.

- The center dash pod features three switches. The far right is the windshield wiper, he center and left switches are for the headlights and the instrument lights respectively.

This classic Fiat 500 has been painstakenly restored in Sicily via a small network of Italian artisans, echanics, ody restoration craftsmen, nd automobile electricians. The superior quality of their work is evident from every angle and during every drive!
