Car description |
---|
You are bidding on a rare and beautiful Ferrari 348 Spider that has just completed a major engine out service at 70,000 miles. This car is the classic Ferrari Rosso Corsa red with Black canvas soft top and tan Connolly saddle hide leather interior. This car is excellent throughout, never smoked in, no scratches or dings, excellent paint, everything works superbly. The clutch has been previously replaced during an engine out 60,000 mile service. The mechanicals are strong and have been properly maintained. The timing belt, water pump, camshaft seals, and crankshaft seal were all replaced using genuine Ferrari parts from ALGAR Ferrari of Philadelphia. A new Duracell 850 CCA battery was installed. New Continental EXTREME CONTACT DWS 06 tires were installed (front: 215/50ZR17; rear: 255/45ZR17). All fluids were also drained and replaced. Both fuel pump assemblies were cleaned and rebuilt as well. Extras include a Tubi exhaust, Alpine stereo cassette with removable faceplate, Fiamm TA/0 Series 2000 new "old stock" metal air horns, technical manual, and a rare leather tool case with MOST of the tools. This Ferrari comes with a clean CARFAX Report and has a clear title.
This Ferrari is NOT a garage queen, she IS a driver. As for the car being a "driver", I encourage you to call any factory Ferrari mechanic and ask which is better for someone who isn't a museum collector or concourse aficionado with money to burn: a "94 with 72,000 miles OR one with 1,000 miles. You will get the same answer every time. Ferrari's need to maintain lubrication in seals, gaskets, etc., routinely reaching operating temperatures and powering up the electronics, and to do that they must be driven on a regular enough schedule to maintain the parts in good working order. What this means to you is that you are getting a car that you can (and should) actually drive regularly. As perusal of other 348's on E-bay and elsewhere will demonstrate, it also means that you will get a much better price.
Why buy a Mercedes/BMW/Porsche and be among a cast of thousands when you can own a FERRARI for substantially less than $60K and have one of about a thousand ever built in the world. I could not come up with a good reason either. This is especially true for the Spiders vs. the TB models since only about 20% of the 348's imported were Spiders.
Do yourself a favor and start enjoying this beautiful vehicle on a daily basis - HAPPY BIDDING and ENJOY!!!
