A unique opportunity to take over a Ferrari 250 GTO tribute project. This project inspired by the famous 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO features a hand laid fiberglass body, front clip, rear clip, 2 doors, 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE V12 engine, 4spd transmission with overdrive, alternator, starter, ignition coils, fuel lines, filter bowl, set new cam cover gaskets, 3 Weber cab rebuild kits, original air cleaner and set of velocity stacks, re-worked 1974 Datsun Z chassis to the correct wheelbase of 94.4 inches, roll bar,NOS gages, custom fabricated aluminum dash pod, switches, turn signal switch, lights, restored rear view mirror, restored parking brake lever, original Nardi GTO steering wheel, replica fiberglass bucket seats, replica Borrani wheels, 45mm splines with knock-offs, original Dunlop racing tires, custom balanced drive shaft with custom machined coupler to replace rubber donut, adjustable height front and rear struts, adjustable front and rear camber plates, Eibach springs, Torkio adjustable shocks, Wilwood vented disc brakes and 4 piston lightweight calipers, new Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve, new Wilwood clutch cylinder, ATL fuel cell, original GTO quick fill fuel cap, Datsun 300zx turbo rear end, 2 sets of Ferrari 250exhaust headers, updated rear axles, all poly suspension bushings, lexan rear window, needless to say many awesome parts.
So this project was started many years ago and the Datsun body was dipped but left in a barn so has surface rust. The engine has been well lubricated and turned over by hand periodically. The engine is low mileage and out of the next to last 1963 Ferrari 250GTE ever built. The Ferrari it came out of has been restored with a small block Chevy installed. It recently sold at a Pebble Beach auction for over 300K.Imagine if it were reunited with its original matching number engine. Please I am not interested in trading stories but if you are interested in a unique project I will gladly answer any questions. Project comes with clear Massachusetts title for the Datsun chassis in my name.
