1977 V-12 Ferrari 400A, 335 hp, excellent condition

This 1977 Ferrari 400A runs as well as it looks good. Well maintained and regularly driven we received this car as partial payment on a twin engine airplane. This rare and roomy luxury 2 + 2 touring sedan features the most desired 4. 8 liter V-12 Daytona “Boxer(?)” engine. It boast six dual Weber carburetors that help it generate 335 hp. 24 more than a later year fuel injected version. I have owned and driven three Ferrari’s over the years and much prefer the Hydra-Matic transmission to the 5-speed which not only prevents sipping an espresso while motoring but from my personal experience often results in expensive clutch maintenance. This is the same transmission used in Rolls Royces and Bentleys (and Checker Marathons = durability) of the same era! This Pininfarina design is more luxurious and comfortable than the 2-seat coupes and having owned and driven both 2 and 4 seat Ferrari’s I find its wide stance offers a better ride – as comfortable as it is road gripping The paint and the leather are in beautiful condition. So far as I know this Ferrari spent its previous US life in California where it was registered and driven. In fact the previous owner liked it so much he re-purchased it years after selling it for the first time!
