GIVE PAGE TIME TO LOAD FOR MORE PHOTOS BELOWF40 Kit Car built on 1988 Fiero. Runs and Drives. Would be great base for the advanced builder to do an engine swap and other modifications. Could be a fun father and son project or first car for teenager too. Unfortunately. I don't have the time and space to make the changes. I went ahead and had it painted so it would be marketable to somebody who wants to drive it "as is". I can't attest to the reliability of this car because it has been sitting in my garage for the last 15 months. Therefore. I do not give any guarantee or warranty with the vehicle. However. the previous owner stated that it was his daily driver. It has always started up when I needed to move it around. The car is built on a 1988 Pontiac Fiero with the Iron Duke I-4 mid-engine and has an Automatic transmission. The build was done right as everything is reinforced on the frame to adapt to the Ferrari shell. It appears to be mechanically sound and in working order. The only known issue that I know about is flywheel is missing a couple of teeth. This hasn't really been a problem for me as these missing teeth only line up with the starter on a very rare basis. When they do line up. it is very easy to correct the problem and I use a socket and extension to do a small turn on the engine from the passenger side wheel well. This moves the flywheel missing teeth past the starter gear. This process which takes about 30 seconds to complete. Let me know if you plan on keeping the current engine and driving "as is" and I will include the socket with the car. Since I was planning on doing an engine upgrade the car I didn't really worry about this issue Anybody who knows anything about building these Kit Cars will know they couldn't even come close to building a drivable car at this asking price. If you could find a drivable Fiero at $800 + $4500 body kit + $2000 to install body kit + $1000 Engine Bay Window from Norm's Fiberglass + $800 for wheels and tires + $500 for stereo system + $300 for seats and interior + $1000 for current paint job + $200 OEM Ferrari Badges = $11. 00 If you don't like the color. then paint the car. I had planned on replacing the engine and finishing the car to look like the "Fast and Loud" Ferrari F40. This car has been stored in my garage until yesterday. Unfortunately. it has to go because I don't have time to make the upgrades and I have to make room for my recent Testarossa purchase. *********************- black $1000 paint job less than 1 month ago. looks great! might want to buff. its up to the new owner. - very cool after market rims with wide tires- oem ferrari badges which are pricey. (not the cheap stickers often used on the F40 kits)- very nice and clean interior. felt carpet with brand new floor mats. very comfortable seats- very nice stereo system with mp3 aux and usb input. has 2 4x10 in dash. has 2 more 5 x 5 behind head and a great sounding sub woofer in between the seats. tuned and adjusted well for a great sounding balance of low end and high end frequencies. (amp has been disconnected from fuse box because I have not been driving the car. but wire is still there. just needs to be plugged back into fuse box)- new front shocks- new battery- brand new fresh oil change and engine oil flush- car has been lowered and there is a small rub on the front passenger side when the steering wheel is turned all the way to the right. it does not affect driving and only occurs when the wheel is turned hard right- shaved door handles. opening is done with cables behind the front tires. you can see these cable in the photos below and there is also a demonstration on how to open the doors in the video below- pop up headlights have been removed but are included with the car in case new owner wants to put them back in- brake lights. turn signals. and headlights all work- all gauges and interior lights work- has a/c installed but the belt has been removed so new owner will have to get belt if they want to have a/c
