Car description

1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door Hardtop. **Note** There was less then 550 2 door hardtop Edsel's produced in 1959 this car is rare. It has a 292 Y Block & Power Steering. This car was originally from Nevada so it has no rot at all. It was purchased from the original owner in 1998 and shipped to Massachusetts in 2001 the second owner had the car repainted and almost all the chrome and stainless were replaced with N.O.S or redone. In 2002 the second owner became sick and parked it in a barn where it sat till 2015. I purchased the car from the second owner last year and after a good cleaning, I had it lightly wet sanded and buffed out. I Cleaned and polished all the chrome and stainless and the car looks great! When I got the car the entire drive train was gone through and all fluids changed before it was started. The gas tank was dropped and coated, new fuel line, new fuel pump, all new brakes, wheels cylinders, new master, new brake lines, the brake shoes are even N.O.S Asbestos so they stop really well. The carburetor was rebuilt. It has new plugs, wires, cap, points, rotor and condenser. The front end was gone through and everything that needed to be replaced was replaced. The car has a recent alignment and drives really well. The white walls are almost new and have no dry rot and about 85% thread left but one of the front ones has a flat spot from sitting with low air in the barn so you can feel it when you drive, it’s not bad but it’s there so I want to disclose it. The motor runs very well and has no leaks to speak of. The transmission is good and shifts as it should but has a very small drip from one of the lines which I may replace before the sale. The trunk, floors, frame and rockers are rock solid and only show the slightest bit of surface rust. I have a bunch of extras that go with the car like another different set of Edsel hub caps and an N.O.S complete Original set of Edsel seat covers front and rear ect ect.
