I bought this car about six years ago in California with the intent of doing a complete high quality restoration to it. It has sat in my heated garage ever since. I now have three slippeddiscsin my back and I now know for sure that I will never do it.... Time to let it go.This is a very rare little Mopar! I do not have the production numbers on it, s they did not keep the best records back in 64. It is a 1964 Dodge Dart GT convertible with power steering, ucket seats, 273 V8 and a Hurst 4 speed manual transmission. Theodometerreads 17000 miles, o I can only assume it has rolled over. The car is in very good original condition and runs and drives great. The 273 V8 must have been rebuilt at some point because it could not run much better than it does. It starts on a dime with no smoke, dle's beautiful, nd runs out real strong. It runs soquietyou would never know it is a solid lifter engine. The transmission also shifts great and the clutch is real good. I am sure it could use a little front end work as it has some play in the steering. The brakes work but should be adjusted as it pulls from sitting. The body is great, o rust anywhere or any previous rust repair. A very solid straight body. I can see noevidenceof any body work in the past. All of the trim is there and in good condition. The car looks to have been painted once in its original colorwhichis an off white/cream color. The paint job was not the best quality and has dulled over the years. It has somechipsand scratches as well. I had the front bucket seats redone with new foam and the original patterned material fromLegendary, hat is about the only thing I have done to the car since I got it. The top and back plastic window were new when I got the car and I kept it down in storage thinking it would be safer stored that way. I was wrong, s I found out today when I raised the top, t now has a hole chewed in it from a mouse while in storage. I am sure there may be a few small things thatdon'twork quite like they should, ike the tempgaugefor example, tworksintermittently. All in all though, his would make a great driver and local show car for someone with very ittle work put into it. Better yet, his is a perfect car to restore to its original glory, s it would be an easy resto with no rust and everything there. If you are looking for a fun to drive, ead turning rare little Mopar 4 speed V8 convertible at a reasonable price, HIS IS IT!I also have a bunch of parts that I havecollectedover the years that go with the car, ike a brand new carpet kit... to much stuff to list here.I will be at the Belvidere Mopar Happening in Belvidere Illinois thisSaturdaythe 18th with the car for sale there.
