Up for sale we have a 1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye. In ’72 they gave the Challenger a new grill and tail lights. Also, he RT was replaced by the Rallye. The biggest engine that was offered was now the 340 and the big block was no longer offered in a Challenger. The one we have for you has the 340 in it and it is a Rallye car. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd driveline of the Dodge, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, ictures, r any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Challenger. When you walk around this Dodge you will see a straight body with good lines. The fit of the panels is also good. All the glass looks good along with the stainless. This Challenger has had new bumpers installed. It also has the sport mirrors and the RT Hood. Everything is covered in the Blue Streak with is a bright blue, nd is accented by the Black inlay between the tail lights and grill. We would say the paint is atleast 10 year old and for the most part looks good with some age showing. To finish off the exterior it’s sitting on a set of Factory Rallyes and a set of White Letter Tires.
Next, e will take a look at the interior of the ’72. On the inside it’s all done in black with the correct bucket seats and console. It has the gauge pack dash with the 150 Speedo and Tach. The dash has the wood grain trim as well as the wood grain console trim. Also, he dash has a dash cap over it. The seats, arpet, nd door panels all look good. The headliner is new and done in black as well.
Finally, e will take a look at the driveline of the Dodge. Under the hood it’s powered by a 340 V8 with the stock 4 barrel intake. It all looks stock except for the headers. The exhaust is stock with factory style mufflers. The engine is mated to 904 Automatic Trans and 8 ¾” Rear End. Also it comes with Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. When you look under it the floors look great. They are solid with no issues that we can see. It has been detailed nicely with the floors being cleaned and painted.
This is not a perfect car. The paint is showing some age, ut if you want a car that you can drive for a price that doesn’t break the bank then this is it.
