This Pilothouse was restored frame up by Gary Baker. Limited production "X" serial number- only produced August & September 1949 to intro for the 1950 model year. This truck needs nothing! The original tube radio works! Under covered storage since. Listed for sale locally. reserve right to end auction if trucks sells. This is the wording from when I purchased the truck. Really nice looking truck. This is the 3/4 ton model and the 4 speed. which has the low granny gear. Nice set of Hankook's on it appear to be less than 500 miles on them. I purchased this truck and cannot drive it because of my size ( I am that little guy in the Steeler sweats on the 4th picture). I do have letters stating this was a full body off restoration. rebuilt engine out of frame by The Dallas Machine Shop & Gary Baker" (whoever that is???) and 4 Owners ( I would be the 5th but you really cannot count me. less than 1 mile on it). History letter states purchased new in Bend. Oregon. purchased from the estate by Gary Baker's cousin. purchased by Gary who did the resto and he donated it to the local American Legion for a fund raising raffle. The 4th owner was the winner of the raffle and they state they only put a couple hundred miles on it. Then I was lucky enough to purchase it from them. I really do love the truck to the point I think it would be a shame to modify the steering for me to fit behind the wheel. nbsp;since there is so much of it that is original. Some really super cool stuff that I like about it includes the original AM Radio - that works fine - but you have to wait about a minute to hear it when you turn it on because it is a TUBE RADIO!!! The pilot house windows really make a sharp appearance. I love the way the hood raises from either side for engine access. and the air dam also raises (around the wiper area) for fresh cabin air. Just an all around sharp looking truck. Nice set of tires with baby moons and the hood ornament has no pitting like most do that I have seen. This was a restoration by a mechanic guy. so the paint is not one of them $ 10. 00. 00 paint jobs. but it does look pretty sharp. The underside looked like you could eat off of it. but I did see a little rust starting on the front underneath the bumper area. I seen this because it was on the top of the transporter when delivered to me. I cannot get under myself to look at so please do not ask for pics. The passenger door could use some attention. but it is not really too bad. and there are places all around that you could pick out if you had a really bright light and looked hard. Guess you would say this is a 10 footer on paint job.
