I am reluctantly selling my 1987 Dodge Ramcharger 4 x 4. I am out of room in my garage. I purchased it in Oct 2010 and am the third owner. It was previously owned by the IL state police when new. Very dependable and very well maintained. 63. 45 miles show. but it is 163. 45. Although not my daily driver. I do drive it and that will possibly increase slightly. I do not believe the engine has that many miles on it. I also think the transmission is fairly new. as the case and fluid looked new when I bought it. Starts easily and runs and drives great. Runs down the highway smooth with the cruise on. but is bouncy on side streets with the leaf spring suspension. It has always been stored indoors for the last several years. I believe all the paint is original and it does not appear to have ever been in the mud. There are some dings and a dent on the pasenger side as well as rust in the rear quarters from the winter salt. 318 V8. automatic. ac. cruise control. newer factory Mopar AM/FM/Casette out of a Dakota. GM auto dimming rear view mirror with compass. chrome & glass fog lamps. rubber mat floor. Napa gold battery installed 7/2012. I have put on a new custom exhaust. new headliner. tinted the rear side windows and hatch glass. different driver seat (grey instead of tan out of a newer Dodge van) nice used chrome wheels with metal valve stems. new 31 x 10. 5 x 15 tires. fuel pump. voltage regulator. thermostat. Napa gas magnum yellow painted heavy duty shocks. and installed a new linkage in the steering column. Original H speed rated spare tire. I have the original street tires with white painted steel wheels with the dog dish hubcaps when I bought it and they go with it if the new owner wants them. I also have the original driver seat but the metal mount for the back is broken on one side. The rear quarters are rusted around the wheelwells and on the inside hatch corners. I just changed the oil less than a month ago and have always used Valvoline high mileage synthetic blend. Each summer. I have had to add a small can of R12 freon for the AC to blow cold. but it does work. I have a gas tank metal shield. an extra set of new front brake pads. and a Napa oil filter that are also included. I can also change out the cassette for a mopar cd player if wanted. 10% deposit in the form of a money order or cashier’s check is due 3 days following the end of the auction.
