Car description |

1973, we are near the end of an era in Detroit, muscle cars are going away and government is detuning our cars and making an endangered species. By 1975, cars are quite boring in my opinion, the 70's malaise of lack of HP, this car is still quite fun to drive and remember yesteryear. The paint was resprayed in the original color of honey bronze, amateur paintjob, there's some flake also added into the mix, in the sunny daylight it looks more gold, cloudy more brownish bronze. Has bucket seats from a 1972 Scamp. Had a Phoenix Graphics with stripe applied to the rear. Comes with a 280 dollar black vinyl roof from Legendary Auto Interiors Inc. Has all the roof trim and wheel well trim in the truck. Truck is solid.
Serviceable to good interior overall, nothing that glares out saying fix me, . All the windows down on this pillarless hardtop. Nice carpet, good door panels, and plenty of classic wood-like trim. Factory AM/FM radio with an aftermarket 8 track player installed, notice it has a CB radio also. DONT worry the rear antenna is magnetic, no holes drilled. I own quite a few old cars, this car does not leak onto my driveway as some of my others do, NOT saying it is 100 percent, but pretty dry considering the age etc. etc. Has spare tire and original jack in the trunk also.
I had some suspension work done to the front end, alignment, new alternator, voltage regulator and had some other thing done to try to fix it, but other reasons prevented me from fixing. Example, i had a new fuel sending unit installed, the gas gauge is the issue, maybe mount an aftermarket one below the dash, problem solved. i also put in a new speedo cable in it, BUT the problem in in the gauge. a new dash cluster might be in order. Temp & voltage gauges work, car it at the perfect temp when warmed up, no cooling issues at all.
Did a magnet test, lots of metal on this car, did not have an area, where the magnet did not stick to it. Lights work, even the annoying ignition buzzer works.
Under the hood is a nice running/idling 318 cubic-inch V8, with a 4BBL carb. It has a stock and well-kept driver appearance. A lot of people always diss the 318, it was a workhorse, and it fires up readily and runs strong. Three-speed 727 automatic transmission shifts nicely for easy cruising. Has power steering, power brakes and wide Radial TA white letter tires on factory Rallye wheels, nice period look.
