Car description

1949 DODGE SHORTBOX PICKUP TRUCK
This is a cool old dodge project. It was a 2wd originally, and then 4x4 axles put in it. It is a project but the body is nice and rust free. The bed wood is gone and the trim strips for the wood had rusted. They are easy to replace while doing a restoration. Message me if you want to do something early on it.

BODY
The body is very solid on this truck and it has no rust-through. It's pretty straight with exception of the drivers front fender. The grille area has been bumped too. The pics tell the story. The wood for the bed floor is gone. Doors open/shut. tailgate does too but the latch chains are gone. Both hood sides operate as they should.
MECHANICAL
This pickup does not run or drive. This was originally a 2wd pickup. A previous owner put military 4x4 axles in it, using what looks like the original leaf springs. The rear axle is not centered properly and needs to be move back on the springs, or move the spring perches. This has what looks like the original flathead six-cylinder engine. It has a manual 4-speed transmission. The drivelines are gone. A 4x4 transfer case is included and looks like it probably came out of the donor rig that the 4x4 axles came from. I don't know the exact transfer case model but it's not an np205 or 208 style. The motor does turn over. This truck has power steering mounted with the pump on the engine also. The rear axle needs to be moved back on the springs to be centered better in the wheel wells.
INTERIOR
There's not much to speak of here. The upholstery, which consisted of the seat and floormat, is gone. The seat frame is in place though. Pics tell the story. I can probably find a seat to go in it before it ships if you pay for the seat.

This truck is used an sold as-is. It was titled using the engine number, which was very common back in the day. The engine code from the title is T14, which decodes as a 1948-1949 B-1-B. That is the proper year and model, so I'm sure the title is for this truck. The serial and model tag is also on the truck, and it also states it as a B-1-B model. I can also provide a notarized bill of sale with the serial # off the tag, if you prefer to title it that way.
