1970 Dodge Coronet with Super Bee Stickers and an added possibly motorhome 440 engine and trans
-This is a great looking Coronet with a straight body and great looking paint job. No joke. Headlights are Led aftermarket super nice. All other lights work but no blinker activity. Windshield wipers work and are new.-The interior is complete and also looks great. Speedometer works, but all others do not. No stereo. No heater or a/c. Dash is not the worst looking but also not beautiful.-The 440 engine starts after a couple tries and few pumps, hasnt ever not started.Runs all the time but is sporadic between smooth and slightly rough.Engine is clean enough but leaves an oily spot when parked.-Trans automatic works pretty normal when warm but slips on and off when accelerating when cold. It has a new Lokar kickdown cable and when I drive it I dont push it when its in its slipping times. It comes around pretty quickly. 3rd gear doesnt slip and freeway driving is nice and smooth and normal.-Front frame has a repaired section on drivers side and overall alignment is decent. Most of the time it drives as smooth and straight as can be, but some times it feels like the rear shocks may be shot and the body roll makes it squirrley.
This car is definitely for a certain type of person. Honestly, a person that can pull the motor and trans and do some work and spend some time on the suspension/alignment would have a great car in no time. Or if you are like me and just cruise around town and only have time to tinker could work on the carb. and just deal with the rest. I drive the car, if not everyday, almost everyday and enjoy the heck out of it.
