This is a 1970 Dodge Coronet two-door post car. It was originally a basic tan/brown slant-six with an automatic transmission. It was rescued from a farmer's field and has since had a complete, professional rotisserie style restoration done by an award-winning restoration shop, Investment Vehicle Restorations in Granum, Alberta, Canada.
Since completion the vehicle has been used as an occasional summer driving car and has attended various indoor and outdoor car shows where it has won various awards.
Although the car is not a "Superbee", during the restoration process select changes were made inspired by the Superbee and were incorporated into this Coronet.
Body Work & PaintEntire vehicle has been sand-blasted, epoxy primed and finished with a RM-UNO single stage acrylic urethane paint in "Sublime" green. Full body color on under-body. All sub-components, such as differential, drive-line, suspension and engine have been stripped and re-painted the appropriate colors.
Engine383 magnum with a 4 barrel carburetor, has been fully rebuilt and driven approximately 10,000 miles since its been installed in the car.
Transmission727 automatic transmission with a basic rebuild and has approximately 10,000 miles since its been installed in the car.
Differential8-3/4 Suregrip differential in 3.55 gear ratio rebuilt and has approximately 10,000 miles.
InteriorNew seat material installed on original split bench seats, new door panels in white vinyl. New carpet in black.
Dash & ElectricalNew wiring harnesses from Year-One, original gauge cluster has been removed and refurbished.
Suspension & BrakesNew brakes, brake lines and components installed at time of restoration. All new suspension installed at time of restoration.
TrimBumpers and trim have been re-chromed or polished, where required.
