Car description |
---|
I bought this car a few years back with intentions of giving it a full restoration. It is a one registered owner, original paint, numbers matching car with the following options: Rallye package, 340 engine, auto, P/S P/B rear sway bar, machine gun tips, tuff wheel, bulge hood, hood pins, hood blackout, side stripes, half vinyl roof, bench seat, wheel moldings, and some things I'm sure I don't remember. Build sheet pictured, i have both fender tags. The story goes, this car was purchased new in 73, and then parked in 1982 where it sat for decades. Allegedly the owner got into trouble driving it outside the limits of the law, and the Police ended his fun. I found a bail receipt in the car that confirms this. I have a copy of the original title, some inspection paperwork from back in the day, owners manuals, original keys (worn Smooth)ect. I started a restoration, and it was continually delayed by work bouncing me all over the US. The old story, my loss is your gain, I just don't have the time to finish it.
What is done: the original 340 and 727 are COMPLETELY rebuilt. I can give you the contact info for the machine shop. Budget was not an issue. The motor has the magnum head conversion, but I kept the original heads intake and carb.It is about 10.3-1, comp 280-H magnum cam, torker 2 intake 750 edelbrock carb, black wrinkle mopar valve covers, a pro set up Mopar distributor and chrome box, coated headers, motor is painted the correct blue. ALL internals are new, and better than stock. It has a large aluminum radiator, with 2 electric fans, as the car was going to live with me in Florida. The motor and trans are not in the car yet. It has a new 2500 stall converter. They are all zero miles. I purchased a very complete front end rebuild kit from just suspension. It is still in the box. The rear is the original 3.21, completely rebuilt, with rear disc brakes added (brand new complete kit). The rear just needs sway bar bushings to be complete. Brand new gas tank, sending unit and straps, in boxes, as well as new gas shocks. 4 brand new 15x8" Mopar rallye wheels and Cooper 245/60-15 tires. New Wilwood master cylinder/booster/reservoir, in box. K Frame has been reconditioned. Needs bumpers (cheaper to buy new bumpers, than re-chrome the old ones), and tail lights, lenses and housings. Front discs and calipers probably need attention, the only major rust is pictured (under trunk lid). The rust under the battery tray was repaired. (new battery tray added) one dent in the passenger side fender, windshield is bad, rest of glass is good. Trim is good (polish needed), grills are good, seats need recovered, headliner and package tray need redone, and carpet is toast. Floors look solid. Door panels, kick panels and sail panels (including trim) look good to go with a cleanup. Dash pad is shot, tuff wheel is pretty good. Right now the fenders and hood are off, as well as the bumpers, and the motor and trans are stored inside. I am sure I am forgetting a bunch of parts that go with the car. Last year of the 340. Ask questions. The last picture is of your finished product.
Car is in Central North Carolina. I may be able to arrange shipping for a fee. Original paint, one owner, matching number muscle cars are drying up.
A non-refundable $500.00 immediate deposit through pay-pal is required for this transaction.
